Re: Travelling with Indian passport + ILR after naturalisati

An update I have called Home Office UK Visas and Immigration. They told me specifically that you can travel abroad and return to UK with your Indian passport and ILR visa, provided your ILR visa is stamped in the Indian passport and you do not have BRP card. I have recorded the conversation with her...

Re: Travelling with Indian passport + ILR after naturalisati

Your ILR is effectively cancelled once you become BC. But since you have ILR in your passport, you should be ok to return. Carry your naturalisation certificate with you. Yes, this is what I am thinking. I consulted someone in the home office. He said although the ILR is logically cancelled on the ...

Re: Travelling with Indian passport + ILR after naturalisati

What about the new requirement to return your BRP within 5 days of your ceremony? Naturalisation certificate is not a travel document. I do not have a BRP card since I got my ILR in Feb 2012. I have my ILR visa stamped in the passport only. I am aware that the naturalisation certificate is not a tr...

Re: Not received my BRP card

Thanks ScopeD. I understand this. So are you saying that they will not issue new BRP cards against the biometric enrolment we did on 5th March as a part of our naturalisation application process. The current BRP I am holding as part of my current visa needs to be returned within 5 days of the ceremo...

Thanks for a lightening reply. But at the same time they say that you have to return your biometric cards within 5 days of the citizenship ceremony. What does that exactly mean? Thanks in advance

We received the receipt and request for providing biometrics. We did our biometric done on 5th March. But we have not yet received the biometric...

He did verify each and every page of my passport in front of me. Perhaps it became easier for him since I have very few visits abroad.

Since the SET(O) asks for evidences since your last extension, shouldn't be one (if possible more) evidence enough? Secondly, I think an early morning appointment may ...
