UK visitor visa for Indian citizens in USA

Hi, I am a UK citizen (naturalisation) while my wife is an Indian citizen (with ILR). My in laws are Indian nationals, who have been in the USA since last 6 months, staying with their son and got their Green Card around 2/3 months back (application had been put in few years back). Now, they would li...

Re: ILR - initial warning about possible rejection from UKVI

hi, We managed to get the driving license back from DVLA in time to book and pass the B1/Level5 test. Following this we logged a new application under Set O yesterday. we have now replied back on the atlas email (from where we originally received the case worker's advice to review our application in...

Re: ILR - initial warning about possible rejection from UKVI

Thanks nicdee001, I looked at that option but we dont have the letter issued by the college / affiliated university stating that the subjects have been taught in English. Given the Covid situation in India there is no hope of being able to get it anytime soon :(

Re: ILR - initial warning about possible rejection from UKVI

Oh right, thanks for clarifying. I realised we cant even book her B1 exam as her BRP has expired in Feb (thats why we applied the SET M ILR in November) and her passport is with with Driving License Authority with no hope of return for another 4-6 weeks :? I guess we could just reply to the Atlas em...

Re: ILR - initial warning about possible rejection from UKVI

One other thing please: English language - degree taught in English, my wife did all her studies in India (up to masters) so I think they wont count. However, does her IELTS result from back in 2013/2014 done in India count - think it is only valid for 2 years but will they accept it for English lan...

Re: ILR - initial warning about possible rejection from UKVI

Thanks again - the very first question under Set O is confusing: Select a category in which you are applying for indefinite leave to remain. (Required) Tier 1 or Appendix W dependants Tier 1 migrant Skilled Worker or Tier 2 dependant Skilled Worker or Tier 2 Bereaved partner Representative of an ove...

Re: ILR - initial warning about possible rejection from UKVI

Thanks CR001, as always for clarifying, I cant believe we made such a mistake! Anyhow, we will put in a fresh application under SET O. I guess apart from the £25 we will lose the biometric appointment fee and other sundry expenses which are small compared to the actual ILR fee. Once we have submitte...

Options apart from Nationality Checking Service

Hello, As most of you know that the Nationality Checking Service (NCS) is not going to be available from 31 Dec 2018, I wanted to check if you were aware of any service replacing this. I am asking this question as I have had an ILR for around 18 months and now want to apply for citizenship and passp...

Re: Tier 2 dependent extension - acknowledgement letter

Why, you are not asking about an ILR application are you  Acknowledgement letters are not always sent. You also only applied 3 weeks ago over the festive period with bank holidays and likely reduced staff at HO over this period. Just wanted to be sure as my status is ILR :D Thanks as always f...

Tier 2 dependent extension - acknowledgement letter

Hello, I recently (3 weeks back) applied for my wife's tier 2 dependent visa extension. I (the so called main applicant) am on an ILR since last 4-5 months. I was wondering if an acknowledgement letter is sent to the applicants by UKVI for such dependent extension applications? My wife did her biome...

Re: ILR and Dependents

No, I paid £600 on IHS website (if you do this before starting the dependant application it calculates £600 not £1400) - similar to the way I outlined in my reply above. Once I had paid this, I started the PBS dependent extension application online and filled in the the IHS number there. The problem...

Hi bro,
I'm in same boat. Did you paid £1500?? After paying excess, did you get refund rest of the amount? ?
How did you solved this issue bro ??
[/quote]

Pay IHS on the website first as £600 and then start dependent application after and use the IHS reference in this application

Re: ILR and Dependents

You should have used NCS at the council to apply for MN1 so that you got to keep hold of your original documents. Do you have copies of your passport and BRP? Yes but I wasn't aware of the NCS option a couple of weeks back when I applied my daughter's MN1 :( I do have copies of my passport, BRP and...

Re: ILR and Dependents

Retrieving this thread as I had a follow on query regarding my situation. I have applied for my daughter's MN1 - for which I have had to send my own passport and BRP (along with my daughter's) and also my marriage certificate. Her MN1 is based on my getting my ILR a few months back My wife (who is a...

Re: ILR and Dependents

no luck whatsoever - cannot seem to see any other way of entering the information into the application for PBS dependent extension online. As stated earlier, this way, IHS is wrongly calculated as £1500 (not £600) :( not really sure what to do - anyone know any numbers for contacting the GOV agency ...

Re: ILR and Dependents

Is there no box to tick for ILR for you etc? Other members have gotten this right by applying ALONE without ILR spouse details. No, I can see any such option. In the application, it does say if you (me in this case) have ILR, please select the PBS on basis of which you (me) were given visa/leave to...

Also in my details, there is no option to select ILR, she has to select Tier 2 General (which was my visa before ILR)

She mustn't enter your details.
But IHS wont let her proceed unless she enters the details of the person she is 'joining or remaining with in the UK' :(

All details entered are mandatory.
