Re: Timeline for Right of Retention! !

Note that the most important thing is that your ex partner HAS TO BE EXCERCISING TREATY RIGTHS (working or being self employee -with CSI-) at the time of the divorce. It doesn't matter if she or he was working from the date you started your divorce process, just PLEASE FOCUS when he or she has to be...

Re: Timeline for Right of Retention! !

Hi all, First of all, I would like to say to you to not to worry everything will be ok, it just takes time for HO to decide your case. I didn't have any help from my ex wife to do all this process, I was trying to be polite and ask for her ID but she was not helpful at all (as Ive applied for a EEA ...

Hi everybody, just a quick one to update my status! My status changed to 'Decided' today! Dated as decision made on 21st August, they said that I will get my letter with the decision in 10 days. I am too excited to think that I will get my RC soon. Fingers crossed everybody! Here's my timeline: ROR...

Re: Retained Right of Residence

I just got my ROR two weeks ago and I did not supply my ex ID as she refused to give it to me. Although I didn't do it, I luckily got the residence; I would advise you to do your best and chasing her (I would suggest via email) to do that favour to you (to supply to you any form of ID for your appli...

Help with 'recognised' CSI companies for the Home Office.

Hello, Can somebody help me? I need to buy a CSI for my and my wife while she is 'self sufficient'. I've found only about BUPA but it's kinda expensive for me. Can somebody help me telling me any other companies that are 'recognised' by The Home Office? Or has somebody have experienced with any othe...

Re: Is there a deadline to apply for RoR after divorce?

Its not quoted anywhere but I was advised to apply as soon as possible after divorce. This is because once you divorce, technically your RC becomes invalid since you are no longer a family member of an EEA national. Applying for ROR will show that you qualify to remain here in the UK in another cat...

Everything was fine in the end in case someone wanted to know or had a similar case and this would help.

Re: 2 months left on passport to get expired. Travelling wit

I don't know what's reasons of this thread. Because when you will renew your passport after one month then why do not you do it before one month while abroad or before leaving. What's difference   I get your point of view but I thought everything was gonna be fine as the passport its gonn...

Re: 2 months left on passport to get expired. Travelling wit

Then why don't you simply renew your passport from your home country during holidays. Carry all the passports you should be fine. I've done the process already (went to my consulate here in UK) and my new passport will be ready when I come back to the UK. I assumed there was not gonna be any proble...

Re: My experience with the UK immigration

Wow,
That's weird, I've been there many times as well and they have been nice to me. I thought Heathrow was the toughest port to arrive.

Did she write a note on the system in the end?

Thanks for sharing your experience!!

Yes, I've been reading a lot if info so you are right. By the way, she wants to leave as soon as possible but I understand that the divorce takes about 3-4 months. Does she have to be working during that time? (I've been working all the time since I arrived). An also I'm scared about the gaps she wa...

Re: EEA national leaving uk, me currently on eea2.Advice ple

I got married on feb 2011
I've been in the uk since September 2011 coming with FP but they gave me my EEA2 until march 2013. Also the adviser told me that I could apply for eea4 that's why I'm concerning she's wrong.

Re: Briefly detained at Stansted with UK RC

You don't have to worry about that. Its a normal procedure. Ive been removed 3 years ago at Heathrow, then I got my RC last year and still they were detaining me every time I got to the UK Border asking me a lot of questions and checking on the system that everything was ok, I have to say its very a...

Experience coming back to the UK on EEA2 (being removed b4)

Hi all, I've being reading/posting on this forum for a while. I hope this would be helpful for somebody. I've been removed in 2011 due some issues so I've been on the bloody UK system. After that I got married and I applied for my EEA FP to be able to return to the UK where my wife was living. I got...

Re: EEA2, divorced, what's next? EEA4?

Hi, Im holding an EEA2 issued this year. Before that I applied for my FP to come to the country and it was issued in 2011. I've been married with my wife for 3 years and we have been living together here in London for more than 2 years. Unfortunately, this seems to be not working anymore so we are ...
