Re: Indian Passport Renewal in India for NRIs

Hi KPSP, I applied for my child on 15-Mar and i had put my permanent address as one in UK. The address back home has not changed. However the representative at VFS said if address is changed we need proof of address change, so i said please use old address as in the previous passport as that's still...

Re: MN1 Referee and JCAP;anyone with recent experience

Hi Kitcor, I was in the exact same situation. My son was around 4 months when i applied JCAP through Wandsworth NCS. Assuming your son was born here, he is entitled to BC. This pretty much over-rides most of the requirement. My GP/Health Visitor and the nursery my daughter goes to all refused to sig...

Re: India Tourist Visa Processing Time

CR001 - Its for my child who just got naturalized and passport obtained via JCAP. I wanted to apply for OCI, but the travel date of 30th June is fixed for me (long term plan). I had applied through JCAP on 03-03-2016 at Wandsworth NCS. I was hoping i would have passport by beginning of May. Unfortun...

India Tourist Visa Processing Time

Friends,

Anybody recently applied for India tourist visa and what was the processing time. One of my friend told me that the visa if granted will be immediate and you can't put a later start date.

Planning to travel on end of June, dont want to gamble with OCI, as it can be delayed

Re: On Tier1 General (Limited Company) - No work

Hi This is a grey area and legally, there is no clause to say you have to be in active employment during your 12 months. Kindly note you and your company is two different entities and that's how the laws are. I would although suggest to show at least your companies prospects, social and professional...

Friends, Thanks for your support. I sincerely apologize for not responding earlier. Yes i got my ILR on 26th Feb and BRP arrived by post on 02nd March. I did call one of my friends last night and he had the exact same issue. He went around this by getting professional reference from his Senior manag...

Urgent Professional Reference for Child

Friends, I have booked Naturalisation for my 2nd Child born in UK before we got ILR. I called up GP but they refused saying we have not been with them for past two years. My health visitor has not responded yet. The school where my daughter gors initially agreed and just this evening they refused as...

Hi Friends I have query regarding the joint passport + Naturalisation. My 2nd child was born in UK 3 months ago and we have got ILR just a few days back. I am planning to fill MN1 form and fill the relevant details. Do I need to fill any other forms? How does one apply for passport? I have taken 4 p...

ILR Approved - PEO Solihull

Friends, One more major hurdle cleared. I applied with my two dependents for ILR in Solihull on 26-Feb. My application is almost straight forward. I have been in perm employment since Oct 2013. My first year in UK (2011) started contracting only since Aug 2011, so for the year of 2011 my SA was show...

Re: ILR Application Dilemma - PEO or Post ?

Hi & Hello AML2015 Thanks , hoping for the best. The point i am trying to make is from HMRC point of view there is no loss. However UKBA can interpret it very differently. In your case even though you did on best interest by fixing the issue(not amending), UKBA has done a strict interpretation which...

Re: ILR Application Dilemma - PEO or Post ?

Hello I think the spate of refusals is due to the fact people trying to fix things retrospectively. AML2015 i think you must be one of the unluckiest ones, but for the fact that retrospectively your saying you still dont owe any money to HMRC. The question is after amending your returns does your ol...

Re: ILR Refused @ PEO - LTD Company Director

Hi AML2015,

I am no expert. After reading your post i felt really bad the way your application was treated. I hope you win your case and if possible recover the PEO cost as well.

Good luck

Re: English requirement

Hi Thanks both. It's relief to see people having succeeded with this suggestion. A trivial question do we then just ignore question 4.5 and just go to Section 5? Also, can I tick the following for both myself and my partner? An academic qualification deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standar...

English requirement

Hello Friends, I am planning to apply for ILR on 26-Feb. My only concern is the Question 4.5 which asks for English Language test. My wife and mine both appear in the PBS calculator and awarding 10 points. However the following statement is misleading. Applications made on or after 12 November 2015 ...

Re: Child Born in UK - Citizenship Queries

Hi, Thanks Sushdmehta and secret.simon. I learnt a lot from your writings. Looking at the scenario the best option would be to go for a British Passport. My final question is, is it legal to take the British passport in hand once i receive it here and then bring back my 2nd Child on the British Pass...

Re: Child Born in UK - Citizenship Queries

Hi, Thanks secret.simon and noajthan for your answers, much appreciated. I agree getting British Passport for the kid is the best option, however my eldest one starts school in Sep 2016. Re: Baby entering thre UK without visa (born in UK, MN1 WIP)

Hi If you have already given the biometrics I think you can travel to your home country with your baby on his/her non EU passport. You can ask someone to send the registration doc once it arrives in post. You can then apply CoE for the baby from your home country. Just beware of the timelines. I mig...

Re: Right of Abode for baby born in UK - Parents in T1(G)

Many thanks Sushdmehta. Yes child was born in UK. Can registration and bio metrics be given in India? The reason for asking this is because my partner would like to spend summer back home because 1st child starts school in September 2016. The time lines for MN 1 (3) looks a good 3-4 months

Cheers
