Travelling to India with Passport Expiring soon

Hi All, Passport - India UK Immigration Status - ILR I'm planning to travel to India in December, returning the same month, but my passport is expiring in May 2015. Does anyone know if I would need to renew my passport before travel or would I be good to go and I can renew my passport once back from...

Thanks mulderpf. one more question. The same friend suggested that previous earnings can only be for calender months e.g. 1st Feb to 31st Jan. And they cannot be for say 20th June 2012 to 19th June 2013. I remember in my last application I used dates of the latter kind. but he suggested that this a...

Re: Should I give my credit card details, if applying at PEO

In questions A10-A12 of the application form, they ask for credit card details. However, I understand this question is only relevant to those applying by mail, right? I mean, if I apply at PEO, I will just swipe my credit card and enter PIN number. In principle, I could also write my credit card de...

Hi, I've already got my Tier-1 (Gen) extended and now my wife and my son have an appointment at Croydon PEO next week. Earlier I had planned to apply by post to extend the leave to remain for my dependents however due to some urgency we are applying in person. While I'm sorting all the necessary pa...

A 12 month earning-period is defined as a period of 12 months in which all earnings garnered are counted; it is not defined as being 12 monthly payments to the exclusion of anything else. I don't think this is the case. There have been refusals earlier. see http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopi...

Hi RT, Congrats on your ILR. Did they take the payment before the caseworker checked on the dates (to be bang 28 days before visa expiry)? also, on question 7.11 of the form (7.11. how long have you lived in the UK? Years Months) Did you specify 4 years 11 months? I ask as I have same situation, ent...

Don't go bang on the 28th day for a PEO appointment. CW will check you Passport and the date of application. If the date is not correct she will reject your application.Like I did,you could apply during the 28 days window. I got delayed because of Last P 60 and ,Bank statement and payslip. i'm still...

if I can apply from 22nd May, I'd have only completed 4 yrs, 10 months in the country. Should I say 4 years 11 months regardless?

T1G Dependant Fee for PEO (same time as SET O)

As the Tier 1 dependant form does not cover the category, I'm not sure what is the fee for when Tier 1 (general) dependant applies at the same time at PEO, when Main applicant is applying for ILR on SET O. would it be £1534 (under Dependants applying at the same time as a 'Tier 1 (General) - PEO App...

FLR M route closed for Tier 1 Dependant?

Previously I thought that there were 2 routes for Tier 1 dependants who do not qualify for ILR at the same time as the Main applicant. 1. Apply for FLR M while main applicant gets ILR 2. Extend T1 Dependant while main applicant gets to ILR As I read in FLR M guidance it seems the first route is clos...

Re: Mistake on BRP - how long to get new one?

PAssport never did and never will mention any other restrictions but recourse to public funds. Refer to the letter you would have received with your first T1 G Application, that should clarify that. My EC for Tier 1 General, clearly said "No recourse to public funds No employment as a doctor in tra...

I had lost my BRP abroad. I still had my passport. Re: Biometric enrollment through post office - query

In that case i need to book online and travel with my family all the way to Sheffield. Biometrics enrollment at post office is only for sole applications (people with no dependents). Maybe this is the reason there is no barcode given on your letter. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/aboutus/contact...

Timelines / Process for Replacement BRP

Has anyone applied for a Replacement BRP because it was lost or stolen?
Just wanted to know an approx. processing time. I lost mine and have applied for a replacement. They've taken payment (shown on Credit card statement) but I haven't heard from them for about 2 weeks now.

Any guidance appreciated.

Re: Need advice for dependent visa .. kinda urgent.

1. chat logs emails and phone call records etc.. are fine to support subsisting relationship

2. doesn't make a difference

3. she can't switch from visitor to tier 1 dependant from the UK, application has to be made from outside
