Not all applications are the same, circumstances of people are different and backgrounds of all applicants have to be checked. Some backgrounds are easier than others to check, hence the different processing time. Actually these two topics are just for tracking naturalisation processing time lines ...

I can see one for April (http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=131266&highlight=naturalisation+timeline) and one for May (http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=134051&highlight=naturalisation+timeline). Is it a good idea to post new ones in the corresponding months topic? That ...

April applications running late

It is still too early for applications submitted in mid April. It takes an average 6 weeks from the time the application is received. There are two bank holidays in May and employees tend to take a long weekend. If some have Friday off, that is 4 working days less in May, almost a week. You are rig...

Good job at the draft. I think (and we need to phrase this properly) we need to mention that being stuck up without a passport is hindering our freedom of movement for 6 months. I am pretty sure that this can be classified as some sort of human right violation (probably some legal guys can assist). ...

Re: Posting waiting list

Hi polly_s, Just wanted to let you know what a great job your doing since taking over from doubletrouble. I'm in favour of your suggestion of updated the list once a week or when someone has joined or have their ILR received. I'm sure the rest will be in similar favour. Agreed. And thanks Polly_s f...

Yeah, I have no idea. I had all my forms filled out and everything was straightforward on my application (just me, no dependents)- still this is week 19 of waiting. My MP is making an inquiry, but wont get a reply for 21 days. . . so I might not get a reply until I get the passport. Hello again. Ca...

Appreciate your view. But can Home Office have a process that says you cannot travel anywhere for 6 months or pay more money. They should probably allow application 6 months earlier to 5 years period and as to provide passport only once the decisions is taken (Like old HSMP). Any ways, sorry, probab...

Forcing people to wait for 6 months - is this legal?

I am starting to wonder if some one can actually question the Home Office on the processing time for 6 months wait. I guess it is purely against 'Freedom of Movement' to hold some ones passport for upto 6 months. Has there been any petitions made for this issue? Any lawyers in the group have any sug...

Thanks guys I guess I will stick to Teir 1 for age as well and take the risk. I think I have enough points so if they decide not to consider the age points shouldnt be a problem. Is there a HO email to ask such questions? I guess a email wont harm them. Also a slightly different question. Do we have...
