Re: MN1 Registration for my Son

Hi CR001, Many thanks for the link. Much Appreciated. I may be naive in asking but just so to be sure, after reading the link, I can see that I can apply for BC for my Son. It was always stated as ILR / PR in the document but not of any mention of the child of British Citizen. But I assume I can app...

I acquired British Citizenship (Naturalization) last year in October 2013 and my British PP in December 2013. ( Tier-1 Route ) My son was born in UK in 2009 and he g...

Thanks VR and Jambo for your comments. Much appreciated. As said before, I am an Indian Passport Holder but going to SE Asia for my holidays (Malaysia) and can SKIP India if required. In that way, i can stay safe from Indian Immigration. Some people in this forum stated that I will loose my ILR if m...

Hi Lucapooka,

Many thanks for your reply.

You said - Your daughter will have to apply for a settlement visa along with your wife.

Is that the FLR route of 3 years and then apply for ILR / BC ? I remember HO changing some rules last year and hence a bit confused.

Thanks for your time.

BC for my Kids

I got my ILR in May 2012 after 5 years of HSMP/Tier-1 and is due for citizenship in May 2013. Due to family circumstances, my wife and my kids are living overseas currently. My wife's visa expired in Dec 2011 (was on her own Tier-1) and we did not renew it. Our son was born here in UK in Jan 2009 an...

BC - Some Clarifications Required

I hope someone can answer my query. I got my ILR in May 2012 after being on HSMP (2 years) and Tier-1 General (3 years). So, as per the rules, i will be eligible for british citizenship by the end of May 2013. Unfortunately, I lost my job this month and so effectively i will be out of work from Marc...

Hi prash, I am living near to Solihull PEO. Took me 30 min by car. But saw the railway station nearby. Should not take more than 10 min by walk. If going by car, there is a john lewis car park nearby and they have a good cafe. Was useful when asked to come after an hour. Next to john lewis is the to...

ILR SET- O Success @ Solihull 04/05

Hi All, Thanks for this forum which gave me useful tips for my ilr process. Mine is straight forward hsmp + tier-1. Got my ilr approved today at Solihull PEO. Case worker asked my payslips and bank statements for last 12 months. All over in an hour. Asked to come back after an hour to collect approv...

Some Clarifications Needed

My visa expires on 25th May 2012 by which I will be completing 5 years in UK. I mistakenly took a PEO appointment on 26th April 2012. I think the earliest i can apply will be 27th April 2012. Am i right ? I have my son as a dependent who is only 3 years old. Do i need to take him along with me for t...

Thanks Mehta for your link which was handy. Most of the cases have ILR for both husband and wife. In my case, itz gonna be me alone with ILR. So, can i say that one can apply for BC for their child if either father or mother have ILR ? I also checked here (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1981/61...

Thanks Lucapooka. What i can interpret from your answer is. 1. The 180 days rule or 5 year residency rule does not apply to my son who is 2.5 years old now for ILR ? Am i right ? 2. Can I register for my son's citizenship even if my wife is not having ILR after may 2012 ? i.e I will be having ILR af...

ILR - 5 year residency rule for my son

Hope someone can clarify me. I got HSMP Visa stamped on 23rd May 2007 and i entered UK on 25th May 2007. I got my HSMP extended in May 2009 and is now valid until 23rd May 2012 as Tier-1 general. I understand that I have to apply for ILR after 23rd April 2012. My wife has her own Tier-1 until 31st D...
