Re: I don't have 2 referee's. What can I do?

I have one. He is a good friend who I have known since I got here in 07. He is a director of a VAT registered company. He is not British. I don't have a second referee though. What can I do? Don't you have colleagues, dentist, landlord, etc who may be British? None that have known me personally for...

BC and travelling and addresses.

I got my ILR the other day and am now setting sights on BC though it is not a pressing thing and I will probably wait a few years. My question is how much time can I spend out of the UK without jeopardizing a future BC application? I will be off to SE Asia for winter and will go on a few other exped...

They gave me a 5 year extension to my ancestry visa in March but I am going to do the ILR thing anyway as I want to get this all out of the way. I am in London but will do my in person in Birmingham in Nov. as there did not seem to be any appointments in Croydon. I have been self employed the whole ...

In premium if you are lucky you get everything done in 1 day.
If you are lucky? I thought the reason it was called premium and costs so much extra was because you got everything done on the spot.

It does mean a lot and I have decided to go ahead with it in Sept. or Oct. And you are right when you point out that the cost may well go up as things tend to do. I will do the in person thing somewhere other than Croyden even though its closest, I read somewhere on here that they tend to turn lots ...

Away days on an ancestry extension?

Hi all. I recently applied for, and was granted an extension to my ancestry visa. I figured they would give me 6 months. They gave me another 5 years, so I am good till 2017. As it stands right now I have been here the full 5 years and have not gone over my 180 day holiday limit. My question is how ...

Receiving my BRP from the courier.

I finally got my letter from the Home Office telling me my visa extension has been approved and that my BRP will arrive within 7 working days. The letter also states that the courier will need proof of ID and a signature. Do I have to sigh my self or can a buddy do it for me if I am not there when t...

So I went to the appointment anyway in the hopes that my passport and my original visa would be good enough and had no luck. The guy told me to book another appointment and come back with my birth certificate. I explained that my visa is up on the 6th of Jan. and that I would be here illegally for a...
