Hello We submitted my partner's settlement application with additional evidence re 5 years continuous residence etc but still haven't heard anything. We are due to give notice for our wedding in a couple of weeks (his father is his eu sponsor) so i'm not sure whether to just say we'll take pre settl...

Re: Eu settlement evidence

Hello My partner was granted an eea2 in April 2015. He applied in October 2014. He was reliant as an over 21 dependent of his father since his father arrived in the UK in March 2014. He is now applying for settlement. My understanding is that we will need to show that he was dependant between March...

Re: Is there a chance that I can get settled status instead of pre-settled status?

Is it reasonable to only give me pre-settled status in my case? This question has been asked multiple times. It is the common understanding of the members of this forum that only time spent as an EEA family member counts towards the 5 years you need to qualify for Settled status; no time spent in o...

Urgent - Marriage notice

Hello! Myself and my partner are giving notice tomorrow, and it will be a couple of days shy of the maximum 12 weeks. Issue is, he's in a bit of a limbo with his immigration status so i'm not sure what to put. Situation in brief: Has lived in the UK with his Dutch father for 5 years as of 8 Feb 2019...

Re: EEA2/EEA4 Marriage help!

His father is dutch and from February they will have lived in the UK while his dad exercised treaty rights for 5 years. I mean, he could even get his PR application ready and send it off as soon as the 5 years are up in February (not before that) - if you don't want to wait for Settled Status in Ma...

Re: EEA2/EEA4 Marriage help!

For your peace of mind - he can apply for Settled Status as soon as it goes live in March, and by June he should have it (all being well). He'll only need to prove 5-year residency, identity and pass a criminality check. Thank you so much. We have been dating for years and years and we never wanted...

Re: EEA2 partner, benefits?

You can get up to speed on direct family members of EEA nationals here: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/464872/Direct_Family_Members_v3_0.pdf - pages 17-18 cover dependency Thanks for the information. It seems those granted eea2 under direct family, the res...

Re: EEA2 partner, benefits?

You may claim benefits in your own right but your bf residency is based on his sponsor & his continuing, proven dependency on his sponsor. To get up to speed on public funds see: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/488202/Public_funds_v12.0EXT_clean.pdf Thanks ...

EEA2 partner, benefits?

Hi there Last year my bf was granted EEA2 as an over 21 dependant direct relative (son) on the basis of his Dutch father who was supporting him here. It was granted with the condition that he is entitled to remain here while his father lives in the UK, and if his father leaves the UK, he is no longe...

Re: EEA2 Application Timelines - ONLY 1 TOPIC - UpToDate

Hi there

My bf applied on October 28th and no news yet. Almost 6 months!

He applied an over 21 dependant son of an Eea national.

Coa with right to work was issued a week later.

Worried now :(

coa rtw

Hi there

Obviously there is no way to know until the application comes back but if your given right to work on your coa is it likely to suggest it should be successful?

Re: so raging with employer!!!!!!

Yeah I know you're right, it's just the attitude they had. He was told a straight up "we can't employ you" , they hadn't done the verification check until he said they can't refuse him because they don't like his SA passport (which is what they said they had an issue with)

Hiya My fiancée sent his eea2 alongside his dads eea1. His eea2 is based on being an over 21 dependant. My fiance wants his passport back as has no other i.d, and he has already recieved a COA with right to work. Firstly, when filling out the passport return for online, does he select "over 18 depen...

EEA2 OVER 21 DEPENDANT

We got his COA with right to work!!!!!! Does anyone know if its likely things could go wrong? Surely if they were convinced enough by his supporting evidence of dependency on his dad that they gave him right to work on COA then its likely his eea2 will go through? Bearing in mind he was brought into...
