Applying for British Citizenship

Hi all, I started a new topic as I could not find the answer to my question. My apologies if it has already been covered. Is an EEA family member in breach of immigration law if there is a gap between the validity of their Resident Permit and their Biometric Residence Card? Resident Permit valid fro...

Re: EU settlement scheme deadline for non EU family members

When do you intend to bring your parent over? Thanks for your detailed response. I would like to bring them ASAP. Ideally, I would have liked to travel to them and start the process but it's been difficult due to the pandemic and Covid-19 restrictions. Can I make the application online from the UK ...

Hello everyone, If a person already has settled status in the UK and wish to bring their dependent non-EU parent to the UK, does the June 30th 2021 deadline apply? Or do they have more time? Would they need to apply for the EU family permit or the EU settlement scheme family permit? Do they need to ...

Re: Advice regarding status of non-EEA married to EEA

Your wife is entitled to apply for a residence card as long as you are exercising your treaty rights in the UK. As you are in employment, you are exercising treaty rights and it does not matter that you've only been in employment for 1.5 years. The form you need is EEA(FM) and the fee is £65. You wi...

Expired Residence Permit

Unforseen circumstances have made it difficult to pay before then. What I would like to know is whether the application would be accepted and whether explanation ...

Re: Travel while PR application in progress...

Thank you both for your responses. If they were to return to the UK, at least a day before the resident card expires, would they be OK to board the returning flight without difficulties? Or does there need to be a minimum period?

Re: Travel while PR application in progress...

EEA family member residence card is not a residence permit. It's not a visa and doesn't grant or confer rights. It is only the card which expires, and it is not even mandatory for direct family members. Thank you for your response. So does that mean their status does not change, only that the card ...

Re: Travel while PR application in progress...

That is if you can make it onto train, ferry or plane in first place. The residence card would have already expired on the day of travel out of the UK. They would be returning from South America. Are you questioning whether he would be able to board based on his expired UK resident card? They didn'...
