Child born abroad to naturalized UK citizens - Citizenship

Hello, Can anyone please let me know if the child is born abroad to parents who are naturalized UK citizens, does this child acquire citizenship by decent automatically or does he/she need to be registered first? If the latter, is it still at HO discretion? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Brexit and application fees that EU nationals will pay.

The solution to the so called strain from migrants is very simple: Build more Infrastructure, Build more Houses. Archaic backward planning regulations are UK's purely domestic problem designed to serve the interests of older home owners. The solution is very simple - control the numbers of migrants...

Re: Brexit and application fees that EU nationals will pay.

Besides, the economy is going to tank in Q4 2016 and 2017. That's not what the IMF report is showing. It predicts that growth in the UK will be (slightly) better than in the EU and the US. This will reduce the demand for labour, including that of EU. The "demand for labour" is different to uncontro...

Re: Brexit and application fees that EU nationals will pay.

Theresa May has made it very clear that until the UK knows what will happen to Brits in EU countries, she cannot say what will happen to EUs and their family members living in the UK using EU rules. Brexit is no doubt going trigger mass migration to the UK over the next two years under EU rules, so...

UK PM candidate May says Brexit means controlling free movem

Notice at the careful language here: she is not saying Brexit means an END to free movement but "controlling" free movement. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-britain-eu-may-idUSKCN0ZO2GO?feedType=RSS&feedName=topNews&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=Social I think she is about to get into trouble with...

yes, both parents naturalized before the child was born. so it looks as simple as registering a birth when the child comes to UK and then applying for her/his passport? is that so?

Child born abroad to naturalized UK citizens - Citizenship

Hi,

If a child is born abroad and both parents are naturalized UK citizens, does that child automatically acquire UK citizenship? I am a little bit confused with terminology in Home Office guidance. I will be grateful for any information.

Brexit and application fees that EU nationals will pay.

The reason I am asking is not to glee. I am very much pro-EU. Brexit camp are the same people who made our lives so difficult over the past 6 years. Assuming Article 50 is triggered and UK ends up quitting EU officially. I presume that EU nationals already in UK will have their residency rights gran...

I used separate Set (O) form for each child. Technically these were two separate appointments. However, the case was treated as "2 in 1" by HO staff.

Re: ILR or Naturalisation for children straight from Tier 1

Hello Everyone, This is an update. I applied for my kids' ILR today using PEO Croydon. I got approvals for both of them on the same day. For the record, I used Set (O) form, not Set (F). They were fine with that as long as I got my own ILR from Tier 1 General. I hope this sets the record straight fo...

Re: ILR or Naturalisation for children straight from Tier 1

It's not a question of which form is easier...it's which form is the right one. I agree with Sarageva, Vinny and CR001 that it should be SET(F) but the decision is yours. :| Quick question if you do not mind. If I apply under Set (F), for proof of funds (to prove I can maintain my kids w/o recourse...

PEO - Set(o)/Set (f) - single or separate appointments?

Hello, I am applying for ILR for 2 children. Parents already settled. When booking PEO appointment, will I have to make 2 separate bookings for each child (GBP 1,900 x 2)? Or can I make a single booking for both of them (GBP 1,500 x 2 + GBP 400)? If it is separate, then I pretty much have no guarant...
