I think the reason is there is no online status check on the progress; having no visibility just makes people kind of psycho. then they go on asking funny questions... how does the approval envelope look like :)... what is written in the letter... I agree with you 100%, so hard to stay patient :P

I have received a letter yesterday ( not from UKBA), just a random junk mail, that was posted over a month ago, and was stuck with the Royal Mail the whole time, so we need to consider the postage issues as well.

Our documents were returned a week ago, after approximately 5 months from application and still no decision. Hope this helps.

I really cannot imagine how they work, so it's security checks first and then case worker? So who does the checks then? Just seems back to front. :roll:

Thank you, Blackhole, it is a very stressful time, and there seems to be no method in this madness. I, myself, was quite lucky as I got my BC within around 2 months of applying, but this person I know doesn't seem to be so lucky. Shame they wouldn't give you any updates, let alone an apology for goi...

The passport was actually printed the day after my interview, I have checked it online, via email application update - have you tried this service? It usual...
