Re: Another referee question

I realize that I did not state in previous email that my British referee has dual citizenship. I am assuming that would not affect her being able to vouch for me as I apply for British citizenship through descent? Thanks! Amoco Both of my referees had dual nationality so this should not be a problem.

Re: Family appilcation for naturalisation

Using one payment slip is the normal thing to do. I would imagine that there would have been lots of applications going in trying to beat the new criteria so that might be why this is taking some time. Eligibility criteria: 5 years WP + 1 year ILR Method of application: self Date of application: 21/...

My wife had gaps on her passport as well and we used her the employment history from HMRC. I managed to speak with someone in HO to complain on why I needed to get my degree assessed by NARIC as being taught in English, despite obtaining a letter from my university at the time of initial HSMP applic...

I did not provide grandparents details on mine. I did note on section 8(is it) that I did not know grandparents details and I had no problem. For naturalisation, I do not think grandparents details is compulsory. Application type: First Adult Passport Method of Application: PO Check and Send Date of...

I believe you should be able to get a replacement birth certificate from the council where the birth was registered.

I had to apply to my local council for a full birth certificate for my daughter's MN1 application earlier in the year.

1. Yes you can all apply together.
2. Not sure about this but I am sure someone will be on shortly to answer.
3. Just put the name of the school on the form. No need for any special character reference.

If you are naturalised, then you do not need grandparents details. On my application, I just put in there, Grandparents details unknown and it was processed without any queries.

Once again, thanks for the speedy response Jambo. I am a bit confused though as when I go to the MN1 page on UKBA's website, It says that MN1 cannot be used for children born in the United Kingdom who have lived there for at least the first 10 years of their life. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/b...

Thanks Jambo for your speedy response.

The only reason I did not include him in the family application was funds.

My understanding is that since he has been here for 10 years, I can not use Form MN1 but rather Form T. So I can go ahead and apply for him using Form T since he was born in the UK?

Hi all. I hope someone will be able to help me with this. This is the scenario. My son was born in Northern Ireland some 10 years ago, and on the basis of this, he has an Irish passport. I made a family application last month as well. My son who was born outside the UK had his certificate come through last week.

I have been worried but this morning, all the remaining approval letters came in the post.

I wouldn't worry if I was you.
