Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Dear All I have seen here that some people get "text" (SMS?) from HMPO during the processing of their naturalisation +JCAP application. I have not received any text but the fee has been deducted... Do all people with naturalisation/JCAP get/supposed to get this message from HMPO and what the message...

Re: MN1 form same-sex parents

The form asks for the details of the parents. However, it asks for father and mother. Obviously, there is no father as we are two women. I'm non-EEA and birth mother. My wife is an EEA national and the other parent. However, there is no 'other parent' option. The success of the application is relia...

Re: University won't confirm presence in the UK

(He attended some classes, examinations, meetings with his supervisor and research group, but there is no record of any of this.) There should be records of monthly supervision meetings. Perhaps the University cannot confirm that, but the School (or Department) should be able to confirm this by acc...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

Hm....This is interesting... Does anyone know if the date of application will be the date of online application or the date of NCS appointment? I can apply for citizenship from March 7th 2018. Does it mean I can submit the online application on let's say March 1st, and have the NCS appointment on Ma...

Canadian PR card - should be submitted with ILR application?

Dear All I have PEO appointment early next week for ILR (Tier 2, 5 year residency route). I have completed the form, collected the documents, employer letters, all seem to be in order. However, now I think, perhaps I need to bring my Canadian PR Card? I am Canadian PR for many years, way before I wa...

Hey there I afraid I do not have more information than you, but based on what appears on the website and the list of currently approved tests - it does look like we need to take another test now... I am in the same boat - I used IELTS General for the Tier 2 general visa 5 years ago, and now as I pre...

The part of the Bill about the health levy for migrants that already pay taxes in the UK is absolutely unacceptable. If this Bill becomes a reality, I will be looking for another job outside UK. There is limit for everything. This is not about money, this is about our rights. The Bill will achieve i...

To be honest I consider this proposal to be a blunt discrimination. It makes no sense to deduct the same taxes from foreign workers, but to charge them additional fee to access NHS, especially people that are already in the UK and pay their taxes to this country for years. In fact, they want to char...
