Did you receive your acknowledgement letter even before it was drafted or is that a typo?

Probably better if you do a deed poll and include this along with the marriage certificate in your application. This was what a friend of mine did and the application was approved with the new name on the certificate

NCS Appointment - some information PLEASE !!!

I'm looking at booking an NCS appointment for family application (me, wife + kids) but just needed to clarify the following points first. Questions: 1) Does the wife & kids have to go with me for the appointment or is it something I can just go myself? The nearest NCS to me is some 150 miles away so...

Discretion to disregard Immigration time restrictions

Can anyone help with some clarifications on the Home Office discretion to disregard immigration time restrictions during the last 12 months Of the residential qualifying period please? As per the below link, the UKBA says "If you have not been free from time restrictions for 12 months, we will norma...

Congrats mate. This is my annoyance with their "6 months no enquiry policy" You are left in the dark just assuming your documents get lost in the post or as in your case, sent to a wrong address. Can you imagine the anxiety you've gone through since November when you should have received your passpo...

I think it's just a deliberate attempt by UKBA to make one cough out the additional Β£400 for a PEO application. I agree with you 100% AshMad as I honestly think that the ILR stamp should be the eligibility date as opposed to the decision date. However they might think that if they do it this way, th...

Spot on bob-russell I fully concur and would happily and actively participate in such an exercise. No foreign country would do it to their nationals i.e. collect such a big amount of money from them and hold their passports down for 6 months or even more in some cases, so why do it to other national...

I have a very strong suspicion that they are deliberately delaying the applications in order to mass migrate all ILR applicants onto the identity card system as a bird told me me it'll be rolled in starting April 2012. Just a thought The issuance of BRP for ILR applicants is actually from 29th Febr...

Spot on doubletrouble. Same as me here albeit I've still not received my passport with ILR back till now. If I had applied at a PEO back in September I would have received more money in child benefit by now more than the money I tried to save. Also I would have been 7 months away from naturalisation...
