I am applying online using NDRS JCAP. Does the application submission date count as 'received by the Home Office'? I plan to have my NDRS appointment on the 20th August 2018, however I was out of the country 18-25 August 2015 (3 years prior). However, if I submit my online application before the 18t...

Re: Tier 2 sponsorship during a redundancy process

Can you please keep this post updated with what happens ? There are redundancies occurring in the company I work for too, and there is a chance the worst could happen. If I were you, I would look for other positions as well to be safe. I would recommend understanding the redundancy rules, as with my...

out of country biometric appointment times

does anyone know how far in advance you can book a biometric appointment in New Zealand? I will have to travel and it would be useful to know whether i can expect a next day appointment, or if it will be a few days until I can get an appointment.

Where can i find this info?

Xanadu85 - when you say rules are changing - do you mean for the CoS application/submission or are you referring to the PBS Tier 2 Guidance updates (i.e. maintenance level increase etc)? thanks! my employer submitted my CoS application last week too - is there likely to still be delays? i was told w...

Then I can go to my home country to apply. however, i'm currently on a Tier 5 YMS visa that expires mid July. My employment on this visa will technically terminate on my visa expira...

i heard that my employer received their allocation last week.

but now they claim that i will not get confirmation until the 11th of June because apparently the CoS can not be submitted until the 5th June, and that is how long the Home Office takes to give approval.

is this right?

just a note - make sure your potential employer is covering off all bases with the RLMT (i.e. advertising in the appropriate places for the job, keeping relevant records etc)

thanks all. I think what happened was they were too slow in processing a CoS before the 5th April, now it expired and they must be waiting for a new allocation. How long would this take? Everything else (SOC code, RLMT is done, salary) is ready, but I have to return to my home country to apply (beca...

My employer are sponsoring me on Tier 2 General. It is a large company so is difficult to get the full picture, so I just want to make sure I don't just take their word for it and want to check some facts with you guys. Basically, they were ready to go with issuing me a CoS, but now have said that t...

The policy guidance states "Any job in the the Tier 2 (General) or Tier 2 (Intra company transfer) category must be at or above graduate level to ensure it is a skilled job." I'm trying to identify if my SOC code is at this level. There are two documents on the right hand side of this UKBA website p...

does anyone know any good places to search for jobs that are eligible to be sponsored for? from what I understand going through a visa change process (currently on YMS Visa and my company is trying to sponsor me on a Tier 2 Visa) I am sure the YMS visa doesn't have to be expired first.
