Hi All, I've booked my appointment for 25th of April for my ILR. My 5 years is complete on 17th of may. Which means the date of my appointment is within -28 days from the 5 year anniversary. My query is. When I booked my appointment the UKVI system generated a pdf for payment and all the other perso...

Re: Tier 2 to ILR salary query

Update on the status, I have managed to get my salary increased to£35,000. I did my performance review and my manager agreed to increase my salary, however he knew what my requirements were and only increased it to £35,000. However Im now worried if It should be a little bit more, as it looks like t...

Stamp duty relief a public fund?

Hi All, Could someone knowledgeable on the Stamp duty tax relief that was announced in the budget todayprovide some light on this? Is this counted as a public fund/benefit since you would have to claim it back from the govt from what I understand. I've recently bought a new build house and completio...

Re: BRP Valid until question

well its not £100 but £400, I think you misread it. Even then its still a small amount. The problem isn't that its just £400. but that if they increase my salary and other colleagues find out, then they will have to do it for them too. Thats where the problem is. The company in UK has over 2000 empl...

Re: BRP Valid until question

Thanks CR001 I do want the salary increase however its looking unlikely. CEO is new, and new CEOs rarely take a look at exemptions. However I'm still hoping it would happen since its not too much of an increase. In case it doesn't, I would have no choice but to go though the other route. I'm just pr...

Re: BRP Valid until question

Hi CR001

I think getting an SAR is the best solution. I'll get that done ASAP.

PSW brp says valid until 02-02-2014

I do remember posting it in nov 2011 but it got delayed because of an error from UKVI.

Re: BRP Valid until question

Hi CR001, The reason was because my immigration lawyer had asked me to tell him exact date I applied for my Tier 2 application (to make sure it was before 6th of April). If you look at my other topic (Tier 2 to ILR salary query), I may have to apply for ILR using the Shortage occupation route in the...

Re: Tier 2 to ILR salary query

Hi Everyone, Just to let everyone know. I have inquired from an immigration lawyer regarding the above questions I posted. He has said that according to the current rules I'm eligible to apply using the shortage occupation route salary exemption. He did suggest to me that I should ask for £35,000 sa...

HI All, I do have all my documents and old BRP copies. The approval letters and everything. The date on the approval letter is 15th of may. However that is not what I'm after. I was trying to Determine the date of application in my case. Going through the archives from 2013, I've found that the date...

BRP Valid until question

HI All, Q: When I applied for Tier 2 Visa for the first time back in 2013, I got my BRP which had "Valid until 15th April 2016". I'm trying to confirm when I sent my visa application by post. I'm assuming BRP has 3years +14 days from the date of application. Does this mean I sent my application by p...

Do you think what I said in q1 is valid?

Since I was in shortage occupation list I dont really need to attain £35k?

Tier 2 to ILR salary query

Hi All, I'll keep it simple. q1: My First Tier 2 application was made in 1stApril 2013 when my job was in Shortage occupation list. I applied under shortage occupation (it says in the COS as well). The job was then taken off from the shortage occupation list shortly thereafter (taken off on 6th Apri...
