Re: New Set (O) Form

I tried to do a manual page by page comparison, and only saw the following: a) In section 6, page 21 Some clarification language added with respect to Jan 11, 2018 rule changes (e.g. based on the new rules, the 180 days absence is no longer based on rolling 12 months except when the last leave is gr...

New Set (O) Form

Hi All,
Home Office released the new version of the SET (O) form today. Our appointment for PBS dependent in coming up on Monday. Do we need to print this new version? We have everything ready with 2 copies of filled forms of previous version. This last minute update is confusing without any guidance.

Hi Shinhwa,
Congrats!! can you share:
a) What did you do for answers in section 5 and 6
b) what documents did you take and submit. Did case worker ask for any docs related to finances and accommodation?

Re: Urgent! application date!

Hi Both,
Are you also including any documents to show your income and funds even though only non-working partner is applying? Also, are you showing anything for the availability of sustainable accommodation?

Re: Urgent! application date!

"Following as I am in the same boat"

This will be very weird, if the date when you book the appointment is taken as the date of application! I think it should be the date when your physical appointment takes place.

Dear All, About to visit PSC for ILR of my partner and kids (I already have the ILR). Re: Official requirements for cohabitation documents

[quote=Echoes post_id=1648328 time=1529429449 user_id=82075] What’s even more confusing is the fact that the online form does not ask for any cohabitation documents at all. I sent some for my family anyway as it’s better to err on the side of caution. My understanding is, they want to see documents ...

Re: Official requirements for cohabitation documents

Hi Shinwa, Yes, I find the form SET(O) very confusing if a Dependent is applying without the main applicant. (unfortunately, I already paid for PSC appointment and now have to use the paper form) If you've not done it already, the online form is much cleaner and simpler as it only asks you the relev...

Re: Official requirements for cohabitation documents

Dear All,
Can someone please help clarify what documents we need to take as a proof of cohabitation or the exact requirements? Also, we are applying via a 5 year route. So, do I need to show cohabitation for the last 5 years or just two years before the application?

Hi All, I am filling out the SET (O) for my partner. Re: TIER 1(G) DEPENDENT 10 DAYS SHORT AND 5 YEARS ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY ILR

Wow, congratulations ramimpdocs1! It seems that the 5 year period for PBS dependents can be calculated from the date of first visa issue date, rather than from entry in the UK! I have a similar case and have been trying to find examples where this is true. In our case, the only difference is that th...

Re: PBS dependent qualifying period calculation

I wonder why does Home Office not read the question and Answer it correctly? It seems they love to deliberately keep it vague so they can justify whatever decision the case workers make!

Hi All, Just wanted to add another Clarfication to kind post from Vinny. And the calculation of Continuous Period per the guidance says that it "Any absences between the da...

Re: Wife ILR and route to Citizenship

According to the new rules, can OP not apply for ILR 28 days before the grant of original entry clearance of 23-5-2013? Ii.e. after 25-04-2013)? We are in a very similar boat and am trying to understand if you need to complete 5 years from entry in UK or 5 years from original clearance date (if the ...

Re: Tier 1(General) Dependent- 180 absences for ILR

There is a lot of confusion about this new guidance. It could read as one of the following a) anyone who got the original visa issued before Jan 11, 2018 doesn't fall under this cap (including may be future renewals). Only people who are applying for initial PBS Dependent visa since Jan 11, 2018 nee...
