Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

Hi everyone, I don't even know where to start with my situation. Got 3 applications rejected as invalid now I'm an overstayer and had to spend money with solicitor to write me a representation letter to attach to my application basically begging them to consider it, as the circumstances which led me...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

I just wanted to reinforce for anyone who is going to apply from now: Please make sure your SET form is the latest updated one available on the UKBA website. I just called them today to find out that they are again rejecting my application as invalid and issuing me with a refund, but this time it i...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

Finally the payment for my application was taken. Of course, after I paid by cheque! I will never trust Nationwide Credit Card ever again. I've been this morning to Citizen Advice Bureau and they were really helpful in regards to my credit card injustice with me. Now Ive contacted the Financial Ombu...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

Hello Everyone, Congratulations for the February/March applications! My situation is a little bit more delicate than yours, I bet. My spouse visa was due to expire on 01/06/14, so I sent my first application on 28/05/14, which was returned as invalid as my (excuse my French) facing credit card refus...

My solicitor just informed me that each case is handled by different caseworkers and the processing time depends on how fast the caseworker handles your application. 14 weeks is an average time for processing these days. He has also informed me that an application he filed after mine has already go...

Thank you all very much, all of you guys! I'm thrilled that I got it so soon, because to be honest with you me and my husband we weren't expecting it at all for the fact that our application only would complete 6 months on the 18th July. So we were already frustrated because of this, but at least we...

For all other guys just don't worry too much about it, UKBA is probably behind due to workloads and it will take up to 5-6 months before you get a decision (sorry to be pessimistic). You're right. Unfortunately nothing can be done until they go through all that backlog. I'm so frustrated that I can...

Re: Contacting UKBA

Hi guys, Apparently the UKBA website says that you should not contact them to check the progress of your application unless they have been in receipt of your documents for 6 months. However, I think you can request them to expedite the visa process in case of bereavement, sickness etc if you have d...
