Speed120, I'm sorry to have to suggest this but have you considered legal action? Because surely if you have complied with the rules, waited the 6th month allocated etc. for information and now this shabby treatment. I'm sorry but it isn't right. Perhaps suing them will get their attention. How utte...

They really are. Politicians are always telling us that the economy is bad, there isn't any money yet UKBA are so quick to tell you to withdraw your application like we pick money off the street. Believe me I understand your frustration. No one cares and it's so painful because we have no one in gov...

I'm so sorry speed120. I'm sure you must be at your wits end about this seriously unnecessary delay. I contact my MP about having my application (Set M) expedited due to health issues and I got an email last friday and a letter from my MP to say he has written to them and he's awaiting a response. I...

I understand exactly what you mean. My wife has been in the Uk for 16 years and has been working in the NHS for 10years and has never claimed benefit. I didn't even know what benefit was until it became major news recently. Anyway, to answer your question, I took that same decision yesterday with my...

I understand your point polly_s. It's just that when unexpected things happen you know, illness, deaths, emergency situations and you are required to travel and then can't, thats when the worry and frustration sets in. Also what is this insane idea that you cannot even check on the progress of your ...

I have sent expediting letter to home office and MP because I didn't get a response but I am still praying that everything will be o...

I see what you mean. I still have a copy of my son's medical record and letter from his consultant so I will take it with me to the GP ASAP.

I never thought of that. Thanks for the advice. Will sort that out and keep you posted about progress.

Thank you ban.s

Expediting ILR

Thank you for the suggestion ban s. Thats extremely kind of you. I have included all of the above in the cover letter I sent to them and my MP. The only thing I did not include was a letter from the GP so I will contact them and hopefully get the letter and send it to them. This is so terribly upset...

He has a renal cyst that was drained previously but it'a accumulating again except this time, conservative management isn't working hence the operation. So he's had it for a while but now getting worse hence the need to operate. And we only found out about this 8 weeks after we applied. Sorry it all...

Expediting ILR

Just a quick update. I contacted my MP last week and told them of my family struggles and the need to expedite my application. They then said they will chase it up for me. I called UKBA yesterday and after much haggling, they told me nothing is on their system and no record about anything being in t...

Expediting ILR

Dear All, I came about this forum in desperation troughing through the internet as the not so helpful people at UKBA have refused to give me any hope pertaining to my application SET M and expediting fax as my son is ill and requires an operation. My timeline so far: Application sent 23/11/11 Money ...
