I guess it depends how old your child is.

I saw a lady yesterday at the interview office (Reading) come with her son and he just sat in the reception area reading while his mother went for her interview.

Hello, I entered the UK on a South African passport that was cancelled when I renewed it. When I sent my application for the Passport, all I sent was my current South African passport ... not my cancelled one and had no problems. For everything else (ILR & Naturalization), I had to send both current...

Just go to a tesco, they have those booths that will do the photo for you. £5 for like 4 or 5 of them!

Much safer to use something that is official!

Working abroad while having ILR

Hello All, I have a generic question of sorts and have done some searches on the boards here, but perhaps my search terms are not adequate or my question is just out of the ordinary, so thought I'd ask it. Background I am currently in the possession of an ILR which I acquired at the end of February ...

Correct, I have my ILR in my passport, was just wondering if there is a need to or a benefit to having the Biometric ID card thing.

Biometric Question

Hey Guys, I've just got my ILR and didn't need to do any of the Biometric stuff, but wanted to find out, can I enroll for the Biometric stuff after my ILR has been issued. Is it just a matter of booking it at either the PEO or one of those Post Offices and doing it ... or is there more to it? Also, ...

Generic Question about existing Visa

Hello All, My wife and I both have an American Visa in our passports. We both independently applied for an American Visa for work purposes and traveled on those Visa's (each separately, different times). Both our Visa's show B1/B2 under the type. From reading online, this means: B1 = Business relate...

Hello All, Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide me with some guidance around the Schengen Visa. So 97 days exceeds the threshold of 90 days out of the country. In my opinion, if you have a letter from your company, stating some of the obvious things like: Dates you left UK and returned back into the UK Purpose of the trip Then you should be fine. From reading other posts about similar things, ...

Correct.

My visa expired on the 21 March 2012, but I completed 5 years before this date and did my ILR on the 31 Jan (yesterday), so you can apply after you've done 5 years, so you could apply now if you wanted too.

Just apply 28 days before your existing Visa expires ... as the others said, WP (2yrs) + Tier 1 (3 years) = 5 years is what you qualify for.

You don't say when in May 2012 you expire, just calculate 28 days before the expiry date and apply.

1.) So the way I understand it, is that the number of people attending, is the number of people actually making the application so = to the number of people that are paying a fee for the application. I did see other people while I was at the PEO, who were family members but not actually applying. I ...

I agree, when I did my test, the lady said if you loose it, you need to re-take it.

Even though the HO office has an electronic copy, they want the original singed and dated from when you did the test.

Just contact your bank and ask them to repost you the bank statements for the period of time that you want. This usually takes a week or two.
