ILR PEO experience at Croydon

After a turgid experience two years ago when my wife made her FLR(M) application which kept is in Lunar House for about seven hours we had such a refreshingly different experience this morning with the SET(M) application. Our appointment was at 8am, but we arrived at about 7.40am, were shown through ...

Travelling with limited time left on UK residence permit

Hi all, I am a UK citizen and my wife is Ecuadorian, in possession of a UK biometric residence permit, valid for 2 years which ends mid November this year. We will be applying in late October or early November for ILR but before then we have a holiday for a week in Spain in September and I am ...

Re: changes to the life in the uk test

My husband passed his life in the UK test last year, as we needed it when we were going to apply for his ILR via the 14 year long stay route, however we ended up getting his FLRM instead and are due to apply for ILR as my husband in Oct 2014. Does this mean that we have to take the Life in the UK ...

Most of the documents you need will be similar to those you used for the Fiance/ee application. Also look here: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/partners-families/citizens-settled/spouse-cp/before9july/documents/ And here is the form: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent ...

Congratulations first of all. Your initial application to enter the UK for settlement was made prior to the new rules coming into place, therefore the 18.6k limit doesn't apply. The old rules apply instead. Once you are married you can apply for FLR(M) - either by post or in person. Postal ...

I wouldn't have though the Olympics would have much impact to be honest - by late June most people needing visas for the July Olympics would have presumably already applied for them. And there aren't many UK visa applications made in Germany becuase German's have freeddom to come to the UK already ...

I think it would be pretty harsh if they rejected the application based on that, especially if you are able to include a copy of the lost passport along with the other notifications you mention. Realistically which passport they put the visa in is hardly relevant, only that it's the current one! I ...

We supplied copies of all the documents that we wanted them to return the original of to us, with a note on the contents page to that effect. We didn't copy letters that supported the specific application because we didn't want them back, and we didn't get them back. It must be better to supply ...

When I looked this morning I was able to find appointments for 13 August 2012 at all PEO centres apart from Cardiff. Hope you managed to book something but, if not, try again tomorrow at about 8am.

They release new slots every day, for six weeks away. They go fast. Tomorrow there should be some spots for circa 13 August available. If at first you don't succeed, try again at different times of the day. Some people say the slots become available at midnight, but I have no idea if this is true.

You can book the appointment before your wedding but, as Casa has said, you will be unlikely to find an appointment available that isn't 6 weeks away.

I think most application references begin GWF followed by numbers.

You seem to be quoting the place and date of the application?

Teresa May is on the Andrew Marr show right now stating that the figure is 18.6k, then 22k with a child, then additional 2.4k per extra child. Was anything mentioned on any of the other policies? The rest of the conversation was regarding changing article 8 - right to family life - but very much in ...
