What the second letter says

Hi all I decided to type out my Second Stage Letter as there are posts asking what the specific letter says (I was one of them...) The letter reads: "Dear Lolo82, I am directed by the Minister for Justice and Equality to refer to your application for naturalisation. Your application has now been ini...

Re: Citizenship applications from Northern Ireland

Hi. I have my application ready to go but am struggling with the bankers draft. Do they consider banks in NI as Irish banks? If so, which NI banks have any of you used in successful applications? My bank (Bank of Ireland) does not issue euro drafts in NI -ironic.... Any help would be much appreciat...

Makes sense, thank you.

Are we required to provide Police clearance from all the countries of our previous residence?
Yes. I had to get it from the country I lived in during 2008 and my home country. I don’t believe there is an 8 year rule.

Place and date of spouse declaration

Hi all We had our spousal declaration returned due to missing the space to where it asks the place, and day and month at the bottom when we had the declaration witnessed by a notary public. The person returning the form highlighted the date we did the declaration and highlighted the blank spaces. Wh...

Bit confused-should I have settled or pre-settled status?

Hi all. Hope some insight could be shed. I received an rc in July 2012 based on a durable relationship. I was married in Oct 2014. In July 2017, I applied for PR and was given a second 5 year rc. I have tried for 1.5 years to sort the card as I was not told why I was not given PR. At this point I ha...

Re: Police clearances US

I would get it and send it. I was asked for it after I sent my application.

I'm Canadian and was asked for the clearance from both Canada and Greece (I lived in Greece for 5 months).

I wish I had known they would ask before i sent my application.

Worst case, you get it and don't need it :D

possibly moved to stage 2?

I recently emailed the citizenship dept to ask if they had an average wait time and also if my application was only hold while I sent additional info. reading their reply, I'm not if I've moved to stage 2 without a letter or if they are just outlining the next steps: "Dear Lolo82 I refer to your e-m...
