Regulations says that HO doesn't need your passport to make a decision. In case it needed ,they will get in touch. Are you travelling with COA? I have finally got my COA. Just one thing bothers me. It says that I have applied for Residence Card. But it is Permanente residence card I have aplied... it's a stock letter, don't worry...and at least you're lucky enough to get the COA :D many here get the COA with the RC after 6 months or don't ...

The directive requires residence documents for EEA nationals (EEA1/EEA3) to be issued ASAP and for non-EEA (EEA2/EEA4) within 6 months. But what is the logic of it? yes, it has already expired in the end of March. earliest we could apply in january, but unfortunately we didn't. My husband's passport with PR (EEA3) card received in April, one month after our application. really hoped it won't take long as our case should be easy one.

I also applied on the 13th of February and requested my passport back about three weeks after that to travel and received it together with my CoA. It will not delay your application.
