Finally got it today! Letter dated 14/05.
Around 10 days short of 6 months, big sigh of relief!

Called council but they have no record of it yet, and told me to call back tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone else

Nothing for me. Excitement's gone and I am preparing myself for a long wait...considering some people on this forum had to wait 9 mths to a year. I know it is not the same, but it is a stage that we have to pass have you considered any action like writing, shouting, whatever :-) Thought about it, a...

Pretty annoying.

Any news fellas? Couldn't resist and ended up calling again this morning! They say it's now with a caseworker...and that once a caseworker is assigned, it takes about 4 weeks. Said it could be a case of the caseworker sending out the letter today, or 4 weeks from now. Any one know how long it normal...

Worth mentioning that when I called 4th time, they just said 'application still in progress' as the status, with no clarification on what stage it was at...since it was within 6 months.

Applied Nov 28th, still nothing. I called 4 times: 1st time: Still undergoing checks (around 2 months ago) - was advised that I'll have to wait till end of Feb/beginning of March for decision 2nd time: Waiting to be allocated to caseworker (I think around a month ago) 3rd time: Can't give updates, l...

Still waiting unfortunately.

Like I mentioned, I'm worried that applications which aren't addressed within the usual time range are the ones which take ages (more than 6 mths)

Still nothing (applied Nov 28th)...I'm starting to get worried that applications which aren't approved within the normal time range (2 mths give or take a few weeks) get stuck and are only approved after more than 6 months.

All we can do is wait!

Called them around a month ago and they said undergoing checks and I should expect an answer end of Feb/beginning of March. Called this morning and t...
