Hello

I applied for my daughter's MN1 last year with health visitor and a family friend as referees without any problem. she was only 1 year old

It should be ok. Home office is not strict on MN applications.

It would be worthwhile to wait for another year and apply both as ajoint MN1 application and save money.

Younger one is entitled to register as a British National but older one needs to wait.

Please speak to HM revenue and asked them to provide a letter stating your tax deduction and NI Contribution for the missing year.

They would be able to provide a letter which you can carry instead of missing P60.

In guidelines it was mentioned to opt for secure delivery of your original documents with an extra charge.

One parents' original passport is enough so you can send your wife original passport + photocopy of yours. Alternatively, consider using NCS who will go over the application, photocopy your originals and return them to you. From the MN1 applications timelines it seems that application takes nowaday...
