It should be ok. Home office is not strict on MN applications.

He is entitled to be registered as a British Citizen since he is born here in UK under MN1 Section 1(3).

It would be worthwhile to wait for another year and apply both as ajoint MN1 application and save money.

Younger one is entitled to register as a British National but older one needs to wait.

Please speak to HM revenue and asked them to provide a letter stating your tax deduction and NI Contribution for the missing year.

They would be able to provide a letter which you can carry instead of missing P60.

One parents' original passport is enough so you can send your wife original passport + photocopy of yours.
