Re: Cohabitation Documents for Spouse

Thank you for your response Amber, much appreciated.

Presumably mixing documents types to cover the 2 years is acceptable then? It seems a lot more difficult finding one type of documents to cover the 2 years than I expected!

Cohabitation Documents for Spouse

Hi all, My wife (Colombian) and I (British) will be submitting our ILTR application at Croydon in August. As evidence of our cohabition, we'll be supplying 4 documents in joint names, plus 2 each of our down. I'd be really grateful if anyone could confirm if the below look ok: JOINT Bank statements ...

Re: PEO Appointments

Thanks for your reply casa. We will actually be applying for ILTR after 2 yr spouse visa (pre July 2012), so hopefully PEO should be ok. This week and last week I've put in an availability search from mid May to start of August and the only appointments have been the week in which you search. Can't ...

PEO Appointments

Is it just me, or have the Home Office drastically changed the amount of time you can book appointment in advance? We're looking at an ILTR appointment sometime in August, but the only available appointments are for this week! You used to be able to book up to 3 months in advance, now it seems like ...

Re: 3 Month Spouse Validity

Thanks for your reply and good to her that hopefully on return there won't be any problems. I'm not sure at all that we will be ok in the Schengen application! Her passport is valid for 10 years so no problem there, but as I mentioned her visa will have just under 3 months validity when we wish to t...

3 Month Spouse Validity

Hi there, Apologies if this has already been asked - I searched the forum but couldn't find an answer. My wife (I'm British, she is Colombian) has a spouse visa which expires at the end of August. We are hoping to go to Spain for a holiday at the start of June (pending approval of her Schengen Visa)...

Re: waiting and waiting and waiting!

essexb, thanks for continuing to share your information after you've received everything back successfully! Did you have to go into detail about your wife's job offer(s) on the phone with the UKBA, or send them proof of any kind? I just want to be prepared for if/when I try this route. Am going to ...

Re: waiting and waiting and waiting!

Thanks Essexb Can I ask, after how many weeks of submitting your application, did you ask for wife's passport back, were you closer to six months deadline and what reason did you give to them ? Did they readily agree to return your wife's passport or you have to convince them and did they gave you ...

Re: waiting and waiting and waiting!

I am thinking to ask for return of my wife's passport , without withdrawing my wife's application. Will they allow me to do that ? Atleast by doing this, she could atleast register with employment agencies ? Do you have any idea about this ? Yes this is possible, we did it, although the UKBA do not...

Wow! Congratulations, that's fantastic news! I applied a few days before you did, and thought perhaps requesting my husband's (sponsor's) passport back, after 6 weeks with no biometrics letter, might trigger something. We got the bio letter right away as well as his passport, but unfortunately it h...

Hi all, Thought I would share my experience with you all, as may be of benefit: My wife is Colombian and we applied just before the rules changed in July (dates below). As I know lots of people probably applied at this time (and knowing about the time it took PSW apps to be processed) we prepared ou...

I've re-read it a couple of times and can't find anything relating to my situation. Apologies if I'm being dense-but would you be able to put me out of my misery??

Hmmm... right, so 3C only comes into effect if an application is refused and the previous leave has expired. I've looked at the Immigration Rules and can't find anything on PSW anymore. Surely her PSW leave will continue whilst the spouse visa is pending?? Otherwise effectively she will have no immi...

Job offer with outstanding FLR (M) application

Hi all, Wondered if someone had any experience or views on our current situation: My wife (Colombian, I'm British) holds a PSW which expires in January 2013 and has recently submitted her FLR (M) application – we’ve received the acknowledgement letter but nothing else yet. She has recently been offe...

Hi all,

Just in case anyone was interested - wedding went fine and now it's clear - if you are marrying in a C of E church then no notice is required. The vicar acts as a Registrar.

Yea that was my assumption and I'm sure it will be fine. It's just always a bit of a worry when one set of regs refers you to another, let alone when it's done twice. I wondered if anyone else had been in a similar situation, but I'm sure we will sort it. I'll post it on here once we do in case it's...

Thanks for your help

I'm afraid the above poster is correct. I work for a university and we are unable to provide a supporting letter for any PSW application for our students who have exited with a PGDip for precisely this reason.

Giving notice for a marrige

Hi there, Many apologies if this has already been discussed someone else, but I couldn’t find the information elsewhere. I am a British Citizen marrying a Colombian national in May in a C of E Church. She currently holds a PSW until January 2013. We have been told by our Registrar that all admin wil...
