Re: MN1 Application - Messed with Referee

Hey there, I applied for my baby last year and got my colleague to do the reference. I did make a note about it in the section. Nobody, including the GP, Childminders and Nursery people, were willing to share their private information. So, I just got all those communication in an email and attached ...

Re: Tier 2 Gen ILR application with a limited company

I had hired a solicitor. That said, I never had to mention the company as I never drew any salary or even traded. If you have traded and drew salary then I will suggest get an accountant and make sure you are clear on tax. As long as you are not breaking Tier 2 General rules of not owning more than ...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Hi Everyone, So here's my take on my ILR Application (SET-0) after being on Tier 2 General for 5 years. A few things to note: 1. I had changes sponsors thrice. 2. I started a limited company while on Tier 2 and made myself a director with 10% shares. But quickly realised it was a bad idea and resign...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Just out of curiosity, will the existing BRP number get updated with the ILR extension? So, can this technically be used to check if the decision was made or not? Also, can someone please delete my previous post! :) Hi Amyabaker I received exactly the same email, can you please let me know what was ...

Re: Out of date info in COS - ILR - SET(O) via Tier2Gen

It may not sound good but I have never done that in the past.
I have already applied for several Tier 2 visas and this was never an issue.

Regardless, I will initiate the process and update my address with HO.

Do you know how long it takes for the changes to take affect?

Re: Out of date info in COS - ILR - SET(O) via Tier2Gen

Thank you for clearing that up, CR001.
This means I can and should probably wait for the SMS to be updated.

May I ask what will be the repercussions if I progress with my application when the system has not been updated.

Re: Out of date info in COS - ILR - SET(O) via Tier2Gen

My presumption is I can only apply for Super Priority in the pre 28 days before my 5 year period.

Am I correct in thinking that or has that changed recently?

Out of date info in COS - ILR - SET(O) via Tier2Gen

Hi Guys, My company has not updated the details on COS for a while, due to the previous HR resigning and there being no person responsible to update this. Which means the following details are out of date: 1. My home address 2. My salary (it was a department wide increment, so I am guessing this wil...

Payment options

Hi there,

What are the payment options (Visa, Amex, Mastercard...) for the visa fee payments?

I know I can use a credit card but just want to know which ones.
Why am I asking?
--- £3000 worth of spending on a BA Amex gets me a return ticket anywhere in Europe. ---

Many Thanks
Alok

Salary (above minimum threshold already) raise before ILR (Tier 2 General)

Hiya all, I have read a number of posts about salary hikes before ILR. So, I had a little hike but my salary was already way above the required minimum. Will that be a flag? Here's the snapshot: Salary on COS = £45000 from JAN to August Hiked salary from September: £60000 ILR application in December...

Re: Tier 2 Gen ILR application with a limited company

Hello Guys,

I have not yet applied. The company has been dormant and has not traded.

This might affect the situation. I asked my lawyers and they said it is a blackbox and even they don't have clear understanding of what it means.

When are your ILR due?

Thanks

Re: Tier 2 Gen ILR application with a limited company

Thank you ever so much for your reply.

I have hired an experienced lawyer and they are yet to present their views in this regard. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Do you recommend I come out forthright and mention the matter in my application?

I had my invitation today at 12:40. Got inside at 12:10 and was called for finger prints and stuff at 1:40ish... which barely took 5 mins and then waited again for more than an hour really for them to tell me that I can leave. So, friends I thankfully managed to travel in off-peak which is why I ask...
