Hi,

Guys is there any rule that you have to be in the country the 6 month before application...

even if you go for holiday or went home for summer holiday ( 2 month).. for Irish spouse application

Hi ,

My husband will apply for citizenship in few week time ( as a spouse to Irish citizen) he was outside the country for 2 month in the summer with his family back home .... is it ok to apply now being outside the country for that length will affect his application ?

Same here This month I am 24 month from the time I applied and from more than a month I am in the final stage and no documentation requested during this time! the lady keep saying that it will be submited to the Minster soon!

Im glad finally people arent complaining about the backlogs anymore. There is hardly a backlog now and citizenship applications are been prosessed faster than normal nowadays. Per prediction if Alan Shatter is still in office, in 2014 there will be no backlog at all and applications will be decided...

It might be true?

That explains the significant slowdown of processing time compare 2012.
There is something strong going on under the surface.
Until now only1 citizenship ceremony takes place!
