I was just looking through the appointment centers for passport appointment and could not believe that they are open from 7am to 9pm and also on saturdays.

Thanks Guys. @ gm21 : you are normally eligible to apply 28 days before the expiry of visa (in your case, the date when HSMP visa was stamped on your passport). Hi Folks,

A friend of mine currently has Tier 2 Visa. (PS: Not Tier 2 dependant but main Tier 2).

Now, to apply for Tier 1 dependant, can the application be filed within UK or one has to go back to home country to file the application.

Could you please mention what was your intial HSMP EC stamped and when did you enter UK.
