Though I am aware that the stay is legal, will the employers accept this delay. Home Office only mentions about the processing timelines but does not mention the timelines to acknowledge.

Tier 1 by post - 4 weeks no receipt

Hello guys,

I have submitted my tier 1 extension application by post and this is the 5th week. I have not yet received the acknowledgement letter and nor the money has been deducted from the bank.

Is anyone in the same boat as mine? I'm a bit worried now.

Postal application or PEO

My initial grant visa expires in July 2012
Can I apply before April to avoid the big fees?

I want to apply by post to avoid paying the high same day fees, will it matter if I apply early.

Extension period?

Initial grant was in July 2010 - 2 years
I am applying for the first extension now.

For how many years will I get the visa? Does the period vary from case to case?

Regards
Jim
