I got the official approval and invitation letter from the UKBA some 2 weeks ago and the next day called my local council as directed (details attached in letter) and was able to get things processed by the relevant official who checked my details, arranged a ceremony date and guest numbers. Then, a...

Just got approval today, in the post and have updated my details.

Thanks for all the help so far to the forum members, this has been my principal advice point since before ILR, so thank you again for answering any questions and the general advice given over the years.

I received the biometric Residence Permit in the post today, which is pretty much 7 days from the grant of the leave.

I must say that I seem to have had a pretty good experience on this particular application, as everything seems to be working as planned.

Thanks guys! It was remarkably low key and easy, given what it could have been. I am interested that the 5 years continuous residence issue appears to be pretty humdrum. I don't even know if she had an issue with that at all, as she certainly did not ask about it. She did head away a couple of times...

ILR SET O Success @ Croydon PEO 4/5

I applied from Tier One General, following HSMP granted May 12 2007, with just under 5 years residence. My appointment was scheduled for 8.10 and I was granted leave by just before 10 am, about 2 hours including security. No question about the 5 year residence raised, nor photocopied evidence reques...

PEO is the way to go. The ~£350 difference in price in not worth the uncertainty you have to deal with while waiting for 8-12weeks for a verdict. My advice to you get it all done and dusted in one afternoon at the PEO. Read through the forum (particularly at cases similar to yours) in order to be a...

ILR - SET(O)

I have several questions about an upcoming ILR application, under SET (O). My details are below, as are questions. Thanks for any help given Eligibility I am a little confused by this point, due to conflicting advice elsewhere, but it seems that I might be entitled to apply all the same, despite arr...
