Maintenance funds for FLR(M) on old rules

If the old rules applies for FLR(M), do i need to have minimum balance in my bank account every month? Or HO only looks at how much salary was paid into the bank every month regardless of whether the balance was in positive or negative?

I will appreciate if someone can reply.
