Re: April 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Hi Guys, when you attend the ceremony, what doc do you need to bring with you? I've got the HO letter, but not the council letter, would that be a problem? Thanks very much!!

Re: April 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Wondering if anyone can help:

After the approval letter received from HO, do I need to call to book the ceremony appointment, or the council will get notification from HO and send me the appointment letter automatically with a suggested date?

Thanks very much!

Naturalisation Application (Postal) - Return of ILR BRP

I am wondering if anyone would kindly help. If I send off my original ILR BRP along with my naturalisation application by post, does it get returned to me after my application is approved? Or would the caseworker keep it, as they would normally do to other types of visa application, on the assumptio...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Pro

Hi, can anyone help with the following: One of the requirements for naturalisation is "been present in the UK five years before the date of your application", what's the best way to demonstrate/evidence this? I was suggested that stamps on passport would be sufficient. However, not all trips get sta...

Re: Set O 10 years August waiting time...

I sent out the documents as required on the form, plus a payslip and some voluntary work certificate to show my contribution economically and socially. Yes I think mine is a straight forward case, no gap etc. I did apply SAR before, but didn't enclose anything with my application. Good luck and hope...

Thanks very much for the quick reply. If you don't mind, could you double check on acknowledgement letter and biometric invitation letter, and see if there are any ref number in common. Reason for asking is that I may need to change address and the form asks for HO Ref number. Thanks!!!

Hi All, a couple of quick question if any could help. Does the reference number on the biometric invitation letter the same as on the acknowledgement letter, ie, "IL" followed by 10 digits? change of correspondence address SET (O)

Thanks very much for the help.

In the online form, it asks for Home Office Reference number. What is this number for SET (O) 10 year long residence case?

I have so far received an acknowledgment letter, I can see a long number there - "IL" followed by 10 digits. Is this the right number to give?

10 Year Long Residence: 28 days' rule

UKBA allows applications for the 10 year long residence ILR to be submitted up to 28 days in advance of the qualifying continuous residence period. Does this mean that: 1) one can only apply early, whereas his/her visa will still need to cover the full 10 year period; 2) as long as the current visa ...

Tier 4: 5 year limit on degree course or above

Does the proposed 5 year limit on degree course or above apply retrospectively? I notice that for the 3 year limit there is a note stating that it does not apply for the time before March 2009 where the old student rule was in place. Is it the same for the 5 year limit? Also, does it only restrict t...
