Re: Savings and Income requirement

I'm applying using savings too and I'm pretty sure it's only £34,600 required for ILR stage. I won't be declaring any income even though I'm employed and earn above the minimum. I did the same for FLR (savings had to be £62,500 I think at the time) Thanks, so if I decide to only show savings, they ...

Savings and Income requirement

Hi I will be applying for ILR in a few months and had a question about income and savings. I currently have £35,000 in savings which I've had for 8 months now and and am self-employed with an income of about £10,000 from last financial year. My partner also works and has annual salary of £11,000. Sh...

Re: Visit Visa UK Embassy Email - Your UK visa application has been issued

I put an application in for my mother-in-law earlier this year and it was refused. This was the third time it was refused and I got my MP involved who wrote a letter to UK Visas. They decided to re-open my case which they won't normally do. This was around two weeks ago. I received an email yesterd...

Re: Visitor Visa for Mother-In-Law

Thank you for the advice. Just a shame they have become so strict with granting even a 6 month visit visa. Due in part to the abuse by 'visitors' deciding not to leave the UK when their visa expires and the fact that the route to settlement for Adult Dependent Relatives has been virtually closed si...

Re: Visit Visa For Mother-In-Law

I also gave a supporting letter to show that I will be responsible that she leaves ...

Re: Visit Visa For Mother-In-Law

Thanks for the advice on this. I can't give proof such as tickets as we wont be purchasing tickets in advance since we wont know when they will grant visa. What I will do is probably wait for the Land Registry to transfer the land owenership in the mother-in-law name and then put in an application t...

Visit Visa For Mother-In-Law

My mother-in-law who is a widow was refused a visitor visa recently on the grounds that the application didn't show enough evidence of strong links to their country of residence. All of her children reside overseas. When this application was submitted she was sponsored by her son and the letter retu...
