@rajbiometric I beg to differ. I did my biometrics at the end of Feb and I got no documents back for 7 weeks. My MP wrote then direct to the Chief Executive at UKBA and I got my documents and new BRP card back within a week. Hi afcon83 and Hello everyone reading this. For all participants in this t...

Re: reply

I am a little confused. Who is it that has applied for the BRP, you or your wife? It appears as if You have. If that's the case, then your wife can travel no problem as long as has the relevant visa already. I have applied Tier 1 (G) extn along with my wife (T 1 dependent). We have already an exist...

i guess if you know your BRP number, they can do a search and obtain your record there.

Did it work entering the UK without the original BRP and without obtaining a single-entry visa? Does anyone know how long it takes them to process BRP(RC)? What happens if the payment doesn't go through? Will they return the application as invalid or call for payment? Takes approx 10 weeks(best cas...

Re: Congrats

:D UPDATE So, write after posting that I hadn't heard back from my MP, I received a letter in the post telling me that she had already written to UKBA for me (a few days previously). Then (just like magic), I received a missed Special Delivery envelope the next day (and it was the number I was look...

Not worth it. It will only give UKBA another excuse to delay applications even further. At the end of the day UKBA have too much power. Suppose you go ahead with the protest and UKBA say okay fine we will shut down for the week or month and process no applications. As result, people get angry and pe...

Yes, they should take responsibility for what they put on the guidelines, even if it is a mistake. I was just pointing out that it is more likely that they just revise the guidelines to say ten days from receiving your docs back (as the postal application guidelines for leave to remain do) than to ...

I agree, but these aren't really the guidelines. It is pretty clear if you look at the guidance notes for various forms that all UKBA did was copy and paste the details from the same day appointment (at Croydon, etc) for obtaining residence permits into the BRP(RC) form. So when it says appointment...

I think the key to success here is to mention to your MP that the guidelines on the BRP(RC) website are incorrect and misleading. Goto to this link: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/196971/guideicfn1020091.pdf These are the latest guidelines and and consistent with prev...

according the the freedom of information act, around 300 applications were made in Jan 12 relating to applications made and average processing times after submitting biometrics was 21 days. Mine was significantly more than this. What this tells me is that they either do not process applications in d...

I suggest you all contact your local MP to write a letter to UKBA and ask them to deal with your application urgently. That is what I did and I received my docs and BRP back within 3 working days of them receiving the letter. In total it took 7 weeks to get docs back after biometrics provided. You h...

Biometrics done at post office. Can't take special delivery envelope, it would have had to have been enclosed in original application

But did you also enclose a special delivery envelope for your documents to be returned back in (it wasn't compulsory to do this though)

I did biometrics on 23rd Feb and I send a royal mail special delivery envelope with my application and made a note of the tracking number. Now on the royal mail website it is saying my package is on its way and should be delivered this morning - so i'm just hoping and praying all processed fine.

You can only track if you provided a special delivery envelope (royal mail) with your application for documents to be returned in. If so, then provided you made a note of the reference on the package you can enter this reference in the track page of the royal mail website

I did my biometrics on Feb 23, but whilst I have not received anything yet, the royal mail track page is showing that my special delivery (the one I enclosed with my application) is on its way. So you should be getting yours very very soon.
