No one can say exactly how long it will take, so exercise some patience. You can't travel to your country without your passport, so once again wait until it arrives. have you tried contacting your local MP to request him/her to ask uk ba to speed up ? how about visiting your country's embassy/consulate to discuss the possibility of getting a temp passport to fly back due to personal emergency back home ? If you applying for Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visas, i will give you some advice don't apply for it or think about it. Because i recently withdraw my application, i waited more then 6 months.
All the time they saying under process.

if you going to apply must apply on the behalf of solicitor.

yes i did, i contact with local MP as well, they saying the application is under process so you need to wait. i send them fax as well for urgent treatment, my solicitor also send them two letter, they saying the same under process, i dont know what to do I think you need to get a better lawyer.
