Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/422040/Spec_app_forms_v16_0.pdf See page 40 which explains the "date of application". As suggested it is the date of postage or if post mark missing then receipt date - 1 day. Thank you for this. I beg to disagree, I don't th...

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

Regarding biometric enrolment for applicants around 1st-2nd April: I have just called HO. Thankfully came across a kind and helpful person on the other side. He advised me that the bio rule has been implemented on and after the 6th of April. So any application made before that will likely not receiv...

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

Hi Everyone, I've applied on the 01st April 2015 using the March 2015 form. Am I supposed to enrol biometric as well. I know the form definitely had a section on that. I haven't received any letter to enrol yet. I've seen other people on the forum who applied 2nd or 3rd week of April has had the let...

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

Thanks for your input everyone. I'm just trying to find any under lying pattern in the data (decision based on case and date) although I know it's like looking for a needle in a gigantic haystack :). But still it would an interesting data analytics exercise.

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

Hi Guys, I've been a silent reader on the forum for a while. Just got a quick question. Is it the case that people who got ILR through the 10 years route are being made to wait longer (around 6 months) for naturalisation than candidates through routes such as Tier 1 general, spouse of a BC or Tier 2...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Re: 10 years long residence application

Hi All Got somewhat of an update. I called HO yesterday morning to check if my case (set LR) has been allocated to a case worker. They said no, it hasn't. Called in the evening again just to check if there were any updates. They said a package has been sent out. They gave me a tracking number and s...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Totally brushed aside and forgot my application. Just yesterday for some reason I thought I will try my luck and see if they have an ...

Re: 10 years long residence application

I know, they won't tell you the decision. Just that a package has been sent out. This part of the wait is the killer one I guess. In retrospect, I now wish I didn't call DC or HO. I should have just carried on as I was getting on with my life quite well. :( One can only learn. Home office contact ce...

I don't know, but embracing for a loooooooong wait. Paid with a bankers draft, thought its a guaranteed and secured method of payment. I am sending a letter tomorrow with a copy of the acknowledgement letter. Is there a fax number for the Liverpool centre? Hello Gryphon and Farad... I am an october ...

Totally agree with ppycrmt. There are few people here waiting for a year now since they sent their application in 2012. That's the reality, they either just don't care or are simply helpless to do anything about reducing the processing time. I think in part the improvement we have witnessed in recen...

Congrats Jesse22 on the well earned freedom. Where did you write to them enquiring about the status for your biometric letter, post or email? What details did you have to provide. They can't seem to gather anything from the reference number that comes with the acknowledgement letter. I am waiting fo...

The whole system is shambolic, I know it's a guess but I think so too. They haven't cashed the draft yet. Draft is meant to be guaranteed payment method which is why I chose it. Now it turns out, it can lead to additional delays depending on whether and when they choose to cash it. Word of advice fo...

I tried with the ref no on the acknowledgement letter I got on the 7th. Apparently that doesn't bring anything up. I paid with a bankers draft hence the added ambiguity. If only I knew that draft is such a hassle. Can't they check with payment centre where is the application? Hey Mate As per my expe...
