Re: ILR application - supporting documents for PBS Dependants

Hi shrads123, "Your list is very exhaustive. Did they ask for all of these ? " I came up with this list based on information available on gov.uk related to SET(O) application for dependants and info from various posts on this website. I also got some guidance from a solicitor dealing with immigratio...

ILR application - supporting documents for PBS Dependants

Hi, A quick response to queries below is much appreciated. I got my ILR in 2014 (5 year Tier 2 ICT route) and am now a British Citizen. My wife and daughter are on Tier 2 PBS dependant visas which are due to expire on 1-3-2018. They entered the UK on 09-08-2012 and are now eligible to apply for perm...

Re: OCI application with change in name

Hi elvampiro, In the OCI application form fill in your new name and previous name. Along with all the main documents for your OCI application, you also need to supply a copy of your deed poll attested by a solicitor. I got mine done by a solicitor in Eastham, London for a tenner. In about 45 days, y...

Re: ILR application outside UK?

Thanks for the quick reply CR001. Any idea if I could apply for my spouse's ILR first and then , if successful, apply directly for my daughter's British citizenship?

Regards,
James.

ILR application outside UK?

Hi, I got naturalised as a British citizen in June 2016. My wife and daughter are on PBS dependant visas and they have been living with me in the UK since August 2012. I am aware that they could apply for ILR in July 2017. The thought of the recent visa charge revision is just driving me crazy, can'...

Re: No first name on British Passport

Hi, I would suggest: 1) Get a deed poll prepared and change your bank, nhs, dvla and hmrc records corrected with the new name 2) Apply for British passport for name change and supply deed poll, bank and hmrc letters as supporting documents 3) Once you receive your new British passport with name chang...

OCI application with change in name

Hi, I was recently naturalised as a British citizen, applied for a British passport and also obtained a Indian passport surrender certificate. The names across previous and current passports, and my naturalisation certificate are the same. I then prepared a deed poll to make a change to my surname a...

Registering child as British citizen

Hi, I initially came to the UK in Dec 2008 on a work permit and after a 7 year period, I am now a British citizen. My wife is on a PBS dependant visa (in Aug 2012) and is eligible for settlement in Aug 2017. I have a daughter who is also eligible for settlement same time next year but was wondering ...

ILR application

Hello, I initially entered the UK on a work permit, made a successful settlement six years later and, recently, naturalised as a British citizen. My spouse had applied for her initial UK visa as a PBS dependant on 12th July 2012 and entered the UK in August 2012. Around the same time next year, she ...

Re: Extending Tier 2 ICT visa

Hi Manci,

The application for their last entry clearance was made on 12th July 2012, just after the rule change on 9th July 2012

So wouldn't that mean my dependents have to stay for 5 years in the UK before they can apply for ILR?

Thanks again.

Regards,
James.

Re: Extending Tier 2 ICT visa

Hi Manci, It was not visa extensions within the country. My dependents had applied in India 4 times during the past 6 years. The only time an extension application was made in country was when the last entry clearance validity was about to expire. Their current visas expire 29/04/2015. Please see en...

Re: Extending Tier 2 ICT visa

Hi Manci, Thank you for the link, but I'm now confused. I entered the country on 13th December 2008 on a Work Permit. Over the last 6 years I had made 4 visa extensions. Prior to my ILR application last September my visa category was Tier 2 ICT - Long term (with leave to remain till 29th April 2015)...

Hi Manci, My previous visa status was Tier 2 ICT Long term category which was valid till 29th April 2015. My current visa status is Indefinite Leave to Remain - Settlement but my dependants are still on Tier 2 ICT Long term dependant category. Although they (dependants) have had multiple entry clear...

Re: Extending Tier 2 ICT visa

Manci, Thank you. A problem that I have now is that my company has issued me with a CoS with the incorrect Tier 2 category. They have specified the category as Tier 2 ICT Short Term instead of Tier 2 ICT Long term. When I highlighted this error to the HR, I was then issued with the same copy of the ...

Re: Extending Tier 2 ICT visa

Hi Manci, Sad side of things, my company will not provide the letter to confirm I'm needed for the job in order to make ILR application. My only option now is to extend but, as I mentioned, I am unsure if UKBA will apply the £40,600 salary requirement. These questions have arisen because of the foll...

Re: Extending Tier 2 ICT visa

Hi Manci,

I am a bit worried now. Should the print "MEWP" be present on the A4 Work Permit in order to extend my visa without salary thresholds?

Many thanks.

James.
