Re: Austrian schengen visa

Hi, Currently there are worries that Europe is experiencing a new wave of Covid-19 infections. in view of that I think many countries will definitely continue to restrict entrance to citizens that are not on 'safe list'. Austria, in particular, allows entrance to some of the EU/EEA citizens albeit w...

Re: New Ruling on Directive 2004/38/EC for Third-Country Nationals of EU Family Members Having Permanent Residence

I have always harbored similar sentiments as to why EU permanent residents should require a Schengen visa to visit other EU countries (well, those who do not reside in Schengen area). However, having some experience with airlines, even if this ruling passes, it will take them 15 years to stop bullyi...

New Ruling on Directive 2004/38/EC for Third-Country Nationals of EU Family Members Having Permanent Residence

First off, Moderators: I am not sure if this has been posted here already. If so, apologies and I will delete it. Here is the new ruling in context: On June 18, 2020, The European Court of Justice ruled that family members of EU citizens who are not EU nationals themselves but have permanent residen...

Re: Can I continue stay in Greece longer than the Schengen 90 days in 180?

Hi, There are almost three laws/policies that are at play with your case: 1. Schengen policies 2. EU/EEA laws 3. National laws of Greece. Usually since Greece is also a member of Schengen area, there are some overlapping regulations. As far as I know since you have lived together with your partner (...

Re: Schengen Visa – Parent PK with ILR – Children British

Costs? Look on the countries website that is relevant. Not Free? If a family member is EU/EEA Citizen? Hi, Even though you are a family member, the definition of EU/EEA citizen's family member(s) is a bit complicated. Family members are: 1.Spouse/partner/common law spouse 2.The direct descendants (...

Re: Can I continue stay in Greece longer than the Schengen 90 days in 180?

Basically they wouldn't give me a schengen Visa extension (as allowed for during the pandemic) because it was unnecessary due to my UK long term visa. Their interpretation is that I'm here not on a schengen visa at all, but here with the same rights of a UK citizen because I have long term stay Vis...

Re: Green card holder stuck in UK

Hi, Technically, she can stay out of USA for one year and still keep her residency. However, there is a possibility of questioning but in most cases, being a spouse of a US citizen, she will be allowed entry. Given what is happening now, the border officers will definitely waive questioning. If you ...

Re: Adopted and Irish father not on birth certificate

It is not an option to get my father added to my original birth certificate (his widow will not cooperate). Any help or guidance to get my Irish passport would be very gratefully received. Thank you. There is no mechanism to have a deceased person legally documented as your parent. Actually, you ca...

Yes. You should address it to Spanish Consulate. I didn't have enough time to check the consulate's address.

I wish you good luck!

Re: Need help with letter

Hi, I'm travelling to Spain next month with my family. My daughter (age 5) and I hold British passport and my wife holds Indian passport with Resident Permit Card. I'm applying for the Visa through BSL London who have advised it's better to apply for EU spouse visa instead of tourist since I hold B...

However, due to current coronavirus issues in Italy, he wants to travel to another Schengen state for his holiday instead. The same also applies to me too as we initially wanted to...

Re: Schengen visa granted (business) but may not travel first destination

My question is what is consequences if I do not make my first trip as planned and the visa remain unused. Can I travel when the situation is better to trigger this visa to Belgium or do I need to apply again. I agree with iwolga. Based on my experience, it is highly probable that no one is going to...

Now I have some travels planned in summer, can I use the form for Stamp 6 holders for reentry applications and send the citizenship letter copy along with the application? Re: Travel with BRC through EU Settled Scheme

Yes! Now is a good time. From February 2, 2020 Schengen visas can be applied as early as 6 months prior to travel. And as previous comments above, the paperwork is simple indeed for family members of EU/EEA citizens [these rules still apply to UK until the last day of 2020]
I’ve just received my visa! I showed the reply from the embassy to visa centre, they still warned me papers can be simply refused to process. But 5 days later I’ve got a 3 years visit visa! Happy this is off my head for now
Awesome news indeed! As I surmised before, if the embassy ...

Re: Portuguese Citizenship

To obtain Portuguese citizenship from your father requires your US birth certificate, assuming you were born in the US, and parent's marriage certificate, and the details are simply copied from those certificates into a Portuguese birth certificate. So I reckon that means that your original US birt...
