Also, bear in mind that after the ceremony you will have to return your BRP within 5 days . If you intend to travel, it will be an issue to re-enter the UK.

Naturalisation might be refused

Dear all, I need your thoughts on this. I came to the UK as a student in 2003. In 2009 I got my PhD and applied for post-study visa, in the meantime I got a job and told them that I was waiting for work visa. Unfortunately, I got a refusal because of the £800 into the account for 3 months before the...

Re: Name at Birth

Congratulations. We did biometrics on same day and I am still awaiting. I was wondering, do you have an idea why the decision was made on the 23/02 and you only received it today?

May be they sent mail out on a specific day (not daily) or?? mystery

Re: naturalisation possible refusal after being an overstaye

Indeed, they did not give me a chance to appeal after that, so thought I would just wait another year and apply for ILR (Tier 2 migrant) and I was granted that time,.

Lets see if that will have a negative impact on my naturalisation

Re: naturalisation possible refusal after being an overstaye

If you re-applied for another application within 28 days of appeal dismissed from inside the UK or left uk within 28 days of appeal dismissed date then you should be ok. Because section 3c & 3d protect from overstay. I had my ILR refused few years ago because they didn't apply 3c rule, and gave me ...

Re: Change of address-December Applicant

Just tried but since I have applied less than 6 months ago, I don;t get to talk to anyone.

I am in touch with the tenant in the other house but you never know, people don't know how important that letter is and might not let me know straight away :(

Never ending stress

Change of address-December Applicant

I have applied for my citizenship on 03/12/2015. I moved house on the 1st of January and the NCS had put a note on my application giving my new postal address. I have sent a letter with my new address around the 20th of December to again notify them of my change of address. However, the biometrics r...

Referees Checks

Does anybody know know if all the referees are contacted or do they do that randomly on a number of cases?
Because my boss hasn't been contacted at all and I applied 3 months ago
Thank you

Change of address- no biometrics letter

Hi there, I have applied through NCS on the 03/12/2015 and mentioned that I was moving house on the house on the 31/12/2015, so the lady wrote a note on my application and I also notified the home office by mail around the end of December. The fee has been taken off my account on the 12/01/2016 but ...

Tier2G payment when booked appointment

Hi all, I have booked a PEO appointement in Sheffield for a Saturday (which I find a bit odd) and I had to pay the full fees (£953) then to be able to have my appointment confirmed. Is this all normal? Last year when i applied for Tier2, I paid the fees at the PEO and not when I booked my appointmen...

I applied because of this!!!! Section 3C extends leave when a person with leave to enter or remain makes an in-time application. That is one made before their leave expires, but one in which their leave expires before a decision on that application is reached. If a person has 3C leave, and their app...

@suzuka Sorry it was all in 2009. So I have been in the UK continuous lawful stay for over 10 years now. I really didn't expect a refusal. Well I will apply again in June under 5 years work route 31/03/2009 and 12/05/2009. They did not apply 3C at all where I clearly had an appeal valid until the 2...
