I did make repayment to HMRC for the child benefit received. I think the most important part is first to stop receiving it and then your case is really good if you pay the money back or at least HMRC writes to you that you dont have to pay

I think you should stop taking it as soon as possible and write to child benefit office that you want to return the money. Will post update as soon as I have. I gave biometric on 14th July. At present UKBA is processing biometric given till 16th June. So I think it would be close to 1 month before i hear from them.
