Married to British Citizen for 5 years - how to apply for Citizenship

Hello there, I have a British Passport for about 7/8 years and married to Mrs who has Indian passport for last 5 years. She initially moved to UK under “spouse visa” and got a BRP for 2.5 years. We renewed her visa again about two years ago. She is about to complete her 5 years being married to a Br...

Re: Spouse Visa Extension - Evidences of living together

Understood - thanks Seagul. Just to be clear the requirement is for 6 evidence each (or 5 each and 1 joint.. so on). As long as the 6 evidences each are spread evenly over the period of the last 2 years - it should be good, right? We have stayed in our previous address for 7 months (Jan-2018 to July...

We are putting together all our documents for my wife’s application for her BRP extension (we are living in the UK and she has been on spouse visa for 2.5 years) and have an important question with regards to the evidences of living together. We understand that we have to show items of correspondenc...

Re: Spouse Visa Extension or ILR route

@CR001 - thanks for a prompt reply. Another quick question, we are planning a trip to India to attend a wedding in Jan. When coming back to UK she would only have left about 1.5 months of valid visa left - would that be a problem crossing the border at Heathrow? (I know sometimes the border control ...

Spouse Visa extension in Feb'20, can she travel in Jan'20?

Her BRP expires on the 24th Feb 2020. I have two questions: a) when should she be applying to extend her BRP b) when can she last travel...

Re: Spouse Visa - nearly 12 weeks - what's the next step?

In terms of the possible next steps; here's a crazy thought: Can I go knocking on the door of UKVI Offices in Sheffield? (Desperate times and all that...) Probably sounds like a stupid idea, but they have failed on point 4 & 5 of the UKVI Customer Charter: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/syste...

Has anyone that has previously been left in the dark with no updates and assistance from HGS and / or UKVI looked at contacting their local MP? Maybe a nudge from an MP would perhaps bring an update? Just keep tune with this forum, surf Home office website regularly, and read newspaper. At the moment there is no major change has taken place.
