I got my passport (sponsor) back today, requested it on 10th August. I had hoped it would trigger them to complete my partners application but no such luck... in a way I feel a bit relieved that at least I now know that it hasnt been lost!!!

Applied 3rd March 2012
Biometrics submitted 31st March 2012

called ukba today (only 20 minutes on hold! wow!) to request my passport back (as the sponsor of my partner). been over 5 months now... I asked if this is the standard waiting time at present, all he could say was that the 'standards' for FLR(M) are '65% within 4 weeks of biometrics, and no upper li...

The NHS is not free. Until you get settlement status you can only get emergency treatment, and even that has a financial limit, to stop a minority of people abusing the system.

Congratulatuons neveragain! I'm about to cancel my flights to Spain due tomorrow... again can only get tax back and too late to get any back from hotel costs. Now I'm just crossing fingers that they are operating via biometrics date (mine was 31st march) instead of application date (3srd March), oth...

Similar timeline to you Badger111, applied 3rd March, Biometrics 31st march. Supposed to be flying to spain on friday, but guess that won't be happening :( Contacted my MP over a month ago, and got a letter back yesterday saying he's contacted them to complain, but I don't expect it to do much. I ju...

what do u mean, there r more applicants than quoted or less ?? the stats say that it took an average of 52 days for all completed applications from jan to april 2012 - so the rest fo us waiting here obviously arent included in that average figure. the 13% of postal application from april being sent...

those figures just don't make sense judging from applicants on this website. average time to completion 52 days, and yet of those applying in april only 13% have been dispatched????

i'm no expert (although i feel ive been studying this process in depth for several months now!) but I really feel that it wont take the 2 years threatened by the previous MP's office!! although 6 months is a fair guess as they seem to be taking longer and longer to even get to the applications!

Just found this on ukba website - it only relates to Tier 1 applications (NOT FLR M) but it does suggest that they work by biometric date: This page gives details of the processing time for applications made under Tier 1 (General) of the points-based system. We are currently considering applications...

hi bobobo, that would certainly be the fairest approach, but out of curiosity I compared the application, biometric, and approval dates of recent applicants and it just seems that those who applied early january yet had a delay before submitting biometrics until mid march have received their documen...

Still waiting from application posted 3rd March, Biometrics submitted 31st March. It does seem that they are being processed in order of Biometrics date - is anybody who submitted biometrics before 12th March still waiting? Supposed to be in Spain this time next month.... :( Good luck to everybody s...

in a similar situation to you welshy - applied 3rd march, and we both were planning on travelling 27th july. Can only get (partial) refund of flights and hotel if we cancel more than 7 days before then, but i guess even then there would still be a chance of the passports coming back in the following...

apologies for mistake in my recent post (in which i mentioned the new changes came in force today). From the 'Statement of Intent' appendix E it is definitely clear though that as long as we applied before 9th July there will only be a 2 year wait before ILR, not the new 5 year wait. What makes me w...

very convoluted article - but from what I can make out the changes to settlement only apply to people who entered the entire 'family system' after tomorrow. anybody have another interpretation??

Hopefully they are starting to trickle through then!! I guess my main frustration is the lack of transparency over how they work... I can understand that they have backlogs soemtimes, but we pay enough to be kept informed Date Docs sent: 03/03/12 Date Ack. Letter received: 13/03/12 Date biometrics b...

Good to read some positive news for a change on here - although a bit worrying for me that you enrolled your biometrics 3 days after us and have your visa already!!

fingers and toes crossed for the next few days....

please keep updating when visas are issued so that we all get an idea of the times. Good luck to everybody!
