Hi Rivercam. The content of the letters I used during passport surrender and OCI were almost the same. The only change was around the purpose of the application. Hi All,

I've managed to get OCI for my daughter with a simple cover letter explaining the situation. The Indian High Commission didn't ask for any home office letter.

Hi Pranu, I've supplied a cover letter explaining that why my daughter doesn't need naturalisation. The cover letter was accepted during the surrender certificate application. I've also applied for the OCI using the same cover letter. The VFS warned me that HCI London may need more clarification but...

I've recieved an email and SMS telling that the decision has been made on the application and documents are about to courier to choosen address. I hope all is well and waiting to see passport stamped with COE.

They gave the address to which the envelope to be sent. I thought it will be more secure if we submit through VFS. Alternative I can send it through DHL to Chennai BDHC. shrikant124, Thanks for reply. I had a chat with solictor who prepared my application. He was not happy when I told him that I submitted bank statements along with the documents he mentioned in cover letter. He said bank statements not mandatory but VFS guys asked my wife to submit bank statements....
