Keeping everybody informed on what I discover, I came across a report today. Although it may not be helpful to some, it is nice to know that the UKBA are addressing several of the issues that created the horrible delays we experienced in 2012 that continue to impact applicants into 2013. You can see...

Congrats Loziecanuck! Love to read that May folks are getting their BRPs now. As promised, there are a number of FOI requests I've followed or submitted over the past several months. UKBA are finally responding to the requests. This response answers many of the aspects of how our FLR(M) requests are...

For all those July applicants, here is an update from an UKBA query for information response. Thought it might be helpful to some. 1. Please provide how many FLR (M) applications were received in July 2012? There were a total of 3,448 FLR (M) applications received in the period from 1 to 31 July 201...

Thanks for the reply backagain. Hopefully that is the case *fingers crossed* but he didn't confirm if the application was actually with a caseworker even after asking him specifically. Still.waiting , they have to be so careful what they say on the phone. If applicants acted on partial information,...

I don't know if anyone knows what this means? I do. I do. That means that your application package has gone from the obscurity of a box someplace in storage to be with a caseworker. My visa was issued days after we received that information on the phone. That your application is now with a casework...

Here you go rosefawkes : 3.2. I'm afraid merely telling them isn't enough. You will need to furnish them with evidence, such as letters from hospitals etc and then make a compelling case. I read someplace (will find it if needed) that the only way to get an application expedited under compassionate grounds is through your MP. T...

After the last hellish nine months we endured, I want to learn all I can about the next stage. Even though I won't be applying for another two years. The letter we received makes...

I've always felt a little guilty with ours taking just 4.5 months so its great to hear those of you who have waited longer getting positive news. ID29, you have been an asset to this forum. If I may offer another insight. We discovered that one of the reasons the process out of Sheffield is so slow is due to the 100% biometric enrollment of Tier 4 students converting to FLR(M). Sheffield handles the Tier 4 student visas to FLR(M) aka Temporary Migration Team 22. Even if you are a fianc...

The HASC issued two more reports on 19 December regarding the work of the UKBA. Thought I'd share something that may offer some insight to the delays. I applied Partner Visa. Of course I did not applied Tier4 student visa! My solicitor contacted UKBA but they did not explain why they send me two visas..... Luckily I can keep my partner visa and just return my new T4 visa.[/b] What a frustrating and scary experience. So glad it worked out for you....
