Thanks Rajesh,

I read somewhere in the blog that we can still use the Indian passport for a grace period of 3 months or so from the date of issuance of citizenship or British passport. that's why I asked - but not sure

Yes I agree, the NCS service send all applications the same day or the next day in most cases. I just submitted mine so that's how I know.

What is the earliest day I can apply for ILR?

I arrived in the UK on 10th Feb'08 and will complete 5 yrs on 10th Feb'13. My current Tier 2 ICT VISA expires on 24th Apr'13. Please could you help in clarifying whether the earliest I'll be able to apply for ILR is 28 days before completion of the qualifying period, i.e., 28 days before 10th Feb'13

Appointments could be available throughout the day so if you're lucky you'll find one but generally speaking if you login at 12 midnight and keep refreshing your browser for 1hr till 1:00am for 5 days in a row, you'll most probably get one.

Hi Renzo, I stated my leaves as inclusive of the day I departed and the day i landed. So If I left on 7th and came back on 10th then the leaves I calculated are 4.

Yeah I agree, you're correct, there is probably no risk free application. I've prepared as much as I could & got all my evidences in support.
