Passport stamps in Arabic.. Need translation?

Hi, My wife is applying for Naturalisation and as proof of "Proof of living in the UK" -covering the past 3 years- we're providing her expired and current passports. These have been stamped in the UK on each entry, however there's no exit stamps, only entry stamps in Egypt, which are in Arabic. - Do...

Re: Successful ILR Set(M)

Thanks dada,

We booked the appointment on the 31st of march.

When we started looking for appointments we were getting the same message. After a few days there were plenty of appointments, the closest was about 1 month from the day we were looking.

Re: Successful ILR Set(M)

Sure. I'm sure some of the documents I've submitted were not required, but to be on the safe side I might've over done the docs: . Passports of applicant and sponsor. . Biometric residency card. . Photographs, 2 for applicant 1 for sponsor. - Proof of finance: . Latest 6 Sponsor's bank statements, p...

There's a round about 200 meters after the cen...

Re: Set (m) pay rise within 6 month period

Thanks for pointing that paragraph out, I must've missed it. I've been with same employer for over 12 months and my salary before and after the pay rise exceeds the requirements. So, as I'll be relying on 4 months of old salary and 2 months of new salary, I think I'll apply under category A and use ...

Set (m) pay rise within 6 month period

Hello,

I'm the sponsor for my wife's set (m) application.

I was promoted with a new title and a pay rise last month, however my previous salary was enough to pass the financial requirements.

Do I apply under category B in this case? Or A with previous details.

Thanks,
Sherif

FLR(M) decision delayed 8 more weeks

Just received a letter today (7 weeks since applying) requesting additional documents, they state in the letter that the new expected decision date is on the 25th of January 2016, another whole 8 weeks! From reading other posts, it seems applicants get their docs/visas quickly after submitting the a...

Re: Name on Biometric wrong

Thanks for sharing. I called the helpline again yesterday as the 15 day deadline is about to run out, the person I spoke to was really helpful and after putting me on hold to check with someone else she adviced us (as the name is missing one of my wife's middle names, and there's no spelling mistake...

We received a letter from the Home Office requesting the original certificate, with a 10 day deadline. We sent that through.

Just thought I'd share the full experience.

Re: Can we send a photo copy of our marriage certi for exten

I contacted the ukba by phone, they advices to send the photocopy with a cover letter explaining the situation. As they already checked the certificate while applying for the current visa they might be ok with the copy.

Can we send a photo copy of our marriage certi for extension

Hi, My wife and I are preparing to submit her FLR(M) to extend her visa for another 2.5 years. However, we seem to have left our marriage certificate (in Arabic + the translation) in Egypt while on holiday there. We do have a photo copy at the moment of both (cert + translation) and can get the orig...

Thanks laith2012.. do you think the "Degree taught in English" is not a safe bet? I can't find much info about it on here, most applicants seem to go for the test.

Also, her degree was taught in English, but neither the transcript or the certificate state so.. should they? The English test results t...
