Hi I received my EEA2 last Thursday!! I'm happy but I'm wondering why is in the form of a visa sticker stuck in my passport. I thought it was suppose to be a card, the size of a credit card. Do they send that later or is it either a card or sticker in the passport? My passport expires before my EEA2...

ILR - 10 year long residency - how many days absent allowed?

Can someone confirm if it's true that only 6 months, that is 180 days, are allowed out of the UK in the 10 years for long residency eligibility?

I know it's 180 days for ILR coming from a Tier 1 visa after 5 years, so I would have thought it could be 320 days for 10 years.

10 year long residency - which visas apply for the 10 years?

To qualify for the 10 year long residency visa, which visas can I have held during that time? I read some where that it could be any valid visa. But is the working holiday visa a valid visa, it doesn't count towards ILR under the 5 year rule. And does it include European visas, as I heard once you'r...

I just read a post about how an employer cannot tell you to stop working, because as a family member we have the right to work and the RC just confirms it: http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=106335 and this article: http://www.freemovement.org.uk/2011/12/17/sponsors-paranoia-and-unfair...

Contractor 211 Days Absence - Pls Help visa expires soon

Hi all, I'd like to ask the forum what my chances for success of getting ILR are given I've spent 211 days out of the UK for non work reasons . This is my case: - HSMP+Tier 1 = 5 years in the UK - Absences out of the UK over last 5 years = 211 days, already excluding day leaving and returning to UK ...

Hi again I just reread my letter and it does have that message at the back, but not in the main body of the letter. At the back there is the 'Question and Answers'. The question at the top is 'Why are you unable to confirm my right to work in the UK whilst my application is being considered?' One of...

I thought the letter was going to state that I could continue working until a decision was made? But the letter states : "At this stage we are unable to conf...
