Long Term Visitor Visa - Duration

Hi, My parents applied for a 2 year visit visa which was granted. The visa sticker on their passport shows a start and end date spanning two years as expected. However, the duration reads as 180 days. Does this mean the duration in each visit is 180 days or does it mean the total duration allowed in...

Re: My parents refused family visitor visa-immigration histo

Visit visas are just that, for visits, two weeks here, a month there, the six month validity is allow some flexibility with that, not stay here six months at one pop. That's residency, not visiting. Where did you find that info from? Please quote the guidelines source. 6 month visit visa has the nu...

Re: Visitor Visa Refusal - Family members of British nationa

Statements showing Fixed deposits of £15,000 were overlooked by the visa officer. This is not being strict. It is being careless and reckless. Years of abuse of a visa route doesn't justify punishing everyone else who is playing by the rules. They could have called if they had any concerns. Had I be...

Visitor Visa Refusal - Family members of British nationals

Hi, Visitor visa application of my in-laws was refused last month. It came as a surprise as they were granted a UK visa before. The only change in circumstances from last time was their sponsors (my wife and myself) are now British citizens. They overlooked documentation provided for fixed deposits....

I think they did consider it, I had also attached a sheet listing all absences with dates of arrival and departure and had requested for discretion. I had attached original death certificate of my grandmother. I had also provided P-60s for the entire 5 year period. I wasn't asked any questions by th...

ILR Granted!

We just returned from Croydon PEO, all documents were returned and they said ILR is granted for me and my wife and BRPs will be sent in 7-10 days. I was really nervous and am glad that the £2066 did not go waste. Now we can plan a long due trip to India! I have been reading this forum without regist...

210 days away, no absence over 90 days: Should I apply ?

I have a PEO appointment at Croydon tomorrow morning, I wonder if I should be applying and what are my chances of success, especially as I read that unpaid absences are not aggregated when excercising discretion. My absences are listed as below. I have already excluded the days of travel. 1 Paid Hol...
